According to Deaglan de Breadun in today's Irish Times, Enda Kenny and Brian Cowen had a 'very constructive' meeting, the day before the four party leaders had their 'consensus' pow-wow.

Interesting that it is only coming out now. It was certainly kept well under wraps. Maybe Enda was afraid that Alan Shatter would be upset that he was giving Fianna Fail such a great big cuddle!

How dare they have a meeting, and how dare it be constructive.

How very dare they.

Enda considerately pointed out sure that any "working" man was entitled to a "few thousand pints"

"Under wraps" insofar as FG issued a statement prior to the meeting and that statement was highlighted in the Sunday Independent two weeks ago and was also quoted in the Irish Times the previous week?

The meeting was instigated by Kenny and they discussed ways in which Ireland's battered reputation could be rebuilt - in Europe and elsewhere.

What a ba$****!

I haven't heard anything about a cuddle or birds singing when the two lads eyes met across the table. They did share a laugh when Gormley offered camomile tea before he was asked to leave the room.

Where do they cuddle? You've mentioned it twice.
You didn't seriously take that literally did you?

My phraseology was a reference to Alan Shatter's criticism of Labour when FG were caught off side over their pairing fiasco.

If that was Labour giving FF a cuddle, then surely a cozy chat, behind closed doors, between Enda and Biffo must amount to a lewd and indecent act!

So one useless lump meets another useless lump to talk about how they havent a breeze what they are doing but will gladly keep taking the salary nonetheless.

Who cares if they played creamy biscuit or cuddled. Both are scum with their inability to admit they are the wrong men for the job.

Labour offering a pair to FF was direct support to the continuation of the governement.

It was a betrayal of the electorate who want this rotten regime removed.

Two party leaders having a discussion is in no way similar to Labour's treachery.

I hate it when leaders do something good for the nation.
Me too, but we are talking about Cowen and Kenny so the term 'leaders' is not appropriate in this case.
