Some corporate-whore magazine once named Enda Kenny 'European of the Year'.

Not so well now 260-8, If Ireland can finish off the tail-enders ... England would not be happy with a slender lead of 138 at this point having been 170-1 earlier today.

293-9, Curran out. Hanging on an edge of being a real opportunity or a slide into safety for England.

England out, first ball!
Ireland need 182 runs to win.

Weather to improve about now... any kind of settled batting at all could make this a very interesting evening..

Good start with a 3 and a 4, hope they take it steady, low risk for an hour or two to allow a rhythm to build...

This is very do-able y'know

Couple of nice 4s in there... steady away at 18 for 2 but don't need anyone taking swipes at 6's...

hour to go before lunch and then the afternoon session could be interesting. Love to see slow but steady progress for the next hour without taking too many risks..

Odd that you should be supporting a foreign team against the country you claim to be a native of.

Or are you actually from Northern Ireland at all?

Like all teams that claim to represent the island, all I see is Tri colours in the crowd.

Disappointing given the team is largely from Northern Ireland and can't be blamed but they should have 2 teams and then everyone would know where they stand.

That aside, Ireland is way out of its depth at Test level and should stick to being semi pro in the white ball game.

Might as well go all out now for some fours and sixes as it is unlikely to swing back in Ireland's favour at this stage.

Still. Quite happy with this Ireland team and how they have pressurised the ODI World Champions at their home ground.

The Aussies must have a pile of interesting post-it notes on a board by now.

Do you want your British Open title back as well as your little ball?

Why don't you bring in Acht na Gaeilge, and then you will see some good will towards N.I from Southeners.
A bit of respect for an teanga Gaeilge and the Tri colour might go a long way!
