The original craft cockney! Bristow did so much to popularise the game through TV in the 80's.
Sad to see him, Jocky Wilson. Cliff Lazarenko, Mike Gregory all gone to early to the ocke.

Crafty **** Knee.
He had a cockerell on his kneecap that once won 'the Krypton factor'.

Sorry.RIP.

2 classic quotes from Sid Waddell on Bristow
"I don't know what he's had for breakfast but Taylor knocked the Snap, Crackle and Pop outta Bristow"
"When Alexander of Macedonia was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer....Bristow's only 27."

They are gone early , but I reckon they enjoyed life while they were here.

Was sad to see the old footage of him as a youngster. The glory days of TV Darts - and snooker.
Bill Werbinik was it, who'd down pint after pint of ale during a game, and then charge it as an expense?

The snooker tables back then were always full of chalk as well.
