They don't, instead they promote Cahill, who was espousing dissident continuance of violence as long as it impacts SF.

Stop SF is all they care about.

Indeed, stopping SF is their 24/7 project, not much time left for their false statements, lies and character assassination.

I am not a supporter of Abortion. And SSM. I don't like S.F for supporting these policies. However, It was Fine Gael and Micheál Martin who brought in these laws. Not Sinn Féin.

a detailed examination in 2005 carried a detailed profile of 39 individual murders by members of the IRA from the 1994 IRA ceasefire up until that time. If accurate this would now equate to 26 murders since the Good Friday Agreement (GFA).

A common theme was of individuals who had challenged IRA members in their own communities and paid a fatal price. In 2018 researcher Paul Nolan, supported by Queen’s University, found that 38 catholic civilians had been killed by non-specified republican organisations since the GFA – a figure of similar proportions to the Independent’s.

“quite stark that republicans terrorists, particularly PIRA, whether acting as small groups or for the organisation, have been executing and terrorising members of the community they claimed to be protecting.”

Detectives investigating the murder of journalist Lyra McKee have arrested four men in Londonderry.

The four men, aged 20, 27, 29 and 52, were arrested under the Terrorism Act on Tuesday.

Ms McKee, 29, was shot while observing rioting in Derry's Creggan estate on 18 April last year.

The New IRA has admitted carrying out her murder. Police have again appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Looking at that list, I'm heartbroken to read that 41 (and counting since then) Loyalist paramilitaries have been killed by each other.

It would be more useful if the killings by republican paramilitaries were broken down by organisation - even suspected organisation.

It was the prosecution case that Campbell was one of two men who launched the attack, that he was shot by ‘ undercover military operative ‘Soldier A’ as he fled from the scene, and that he jumped into a priest’s car that was parked nearby and fled the jurisdiction to the Republic.

He would have been around 20 years old which is not that old. It is the young who do the fighting. With Brexit we need to avoid going back to them dark days.

Here in Fermanagh (as i'm sure elsewhere) bakebook has been awash with local GAA, Lodges, Bands, Victims Groups, Community centres etc offering and delivering shopping, prescriptions etc to the most vulnerable in the community and fair play to them all...

so the mind boggles when you see this...

“It beggars belief that dissident republicans would want to exploit this situation for their own ends.
“Their selfish behaviour ended up diverting valuable police resources away from other community priorities for a significant number of hours.

This says so much about dissident republicans – that in the face of a national emergency their first thought is to use the opportunity to target emergency services and first responders – the very people who are doing all they can to help communities and take care of the vulnerable.

“I would like to thank the Rosslea community, who were disrupted today, for their patience and co-operation during the security alert.

“The dissident republicans responsible for this senseless act went to great lengths to make this device appear viable and to plant it on Clough Road. They didn’t care about the consequences of their actions and how it would affect others.

They will probably kill their elderly relatives with Covid-19.

As if things weren't bad enough a Republican Jihadist launches an attack on a builders loo...

It is understood the masked man pushed the child’s buggy carrying a plastic bag containing an object with wires against the compound at a building site in Portadown this morning.
