Kenny's goodbye to the people of Ireland while we have thousands homeless, increasing hospital waiting lists etc. So while dictating austerity for 6 years to us the Fianna Gaeler fleeces the country for all he can get as his goodbye, would anyone expect anything better ?

" Enda Kenny ran up more than €130,000 in travel and hotel bills during his last four months in office...... The biggest chunk of the bill came from his trip around the United States for St Patrick’s Day where he travelled to New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC as part of his seven day mission. The total cost of his US trip was €77,000. Mr Kenny’s wife Fionnuala travelled with him on the trip as did six governmental staff and a member of his security detail. "

Most minor States would give a Million Dollars + to get the kind of coverage and access that Kenny had for 77,000 lids in the USA

That was money well spent

When people vote these parasites into office, we then fund this sort of carry on to pay for their incompetence and cronyism that goes with everything the gombeen state does. It's like an additional level of VAT - so that some that the corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless can then fleece us more.

The total cost was €77,000 Einstein
To send a Prime Minister overseas accompanied by Security and a working entourage will cost money unless you book them into a hostel and send them to McDonalds for food?

Would you propose giving Kenny a few dollars to buy a loaf, a ham, tomatoes and a pound of butter?

Should we tell the World we could not afford to have the Prime Minister's Spouse go on the trip too?

So what? There are other nations that would give their right arm for the exposure and access we get to avail of in the US each year. And you're quibbling about €77,000 availing of this opportunity? Money well spent if you ask me.

Kenny should have been put in a motel 6 or some cheap fleabag motel and had spam sangwiches for lunch.

What's that old chestnut about people who know the price of everything but the value of nothing?

Tell you what, we'll send Conor McGregor next time since he's probably the most known Irish person around the world instead of that mealy mouthed gobshyte Varadkar.

It would be cheaper to give the job to Michael "Begosh & Begorrah" Flatley as he is from Chigago and it would save on the flights.

Every year some dummy starts a thread on this. Doesn't matter who's in power. Doesn't matter the benefits. Ignores the money Patrick's day results in. Ignores the trade opportunities of our ministers having access to other countries. The way the leader of a country of 5 million has a standing appointment with the president of the US.
