Jesus christ, SIL says something sensible.

I've been gone too long.
No he didn't. He absolved Kenny from all responsibility as Taouseach, not just for this issue. The buck stops with Kenny. Translate SiLs concept to more important matters and the buck never stops with Kenny. Sensible, my arse.

We are an expensive little nation....ripping off the Irish public with outlandish prices for just about everything, and we are spreading it to Europe: Irish blamed for EU's overspending on translation service - Independent.ie

THE high cost of translating EU stories into Irish is being blamed for the European Parliament overspending its budget by millions of euro. Private translators in Brussels charge on average €21.91 per page some languages can be higher, like Irish the most expensive, according to the internal document, at a going rate of €42 per page

Who do we think we are?
Oh for fvck sake. That's fvcking ridiculous. We are a laughing stock.

So the village idiot was riding high on the hog when he knew the end was nigh?
Yep, last big chance to blow taxpayers money...in the name of jabs of course. Relate jabs creation to any spending and bobs yer uncle....untouchable. Just look at the defences here.

Claiming the good Friday agreement as an achievement for Django Djorry is like claiming that the owner of a chain of brothels championed virginity because he closed a few of the brothels.
" Been one of the main players in the Good Friday Agreement. " Gotcha ya thick ;)

Get over yourself - I live in Longford and I drive an ancient VW. By the standards of official trips this was not excessive. Perhaps we should have passed up on the opportunity to get more US investment here, but then you'd probably think that was a bad thing anyway.
I'll try yet again, is there any actual proof these junkets bring business to the state or just hearsay and typical gobshytery ??

FF's Bold O'Donohue doing his bit for Ireland with his lavish lifestyle ?

Kenny's goodbye to the people of Ireland while we have thousands homeless, increasing hospital waiting lists etc. So while dictating austerity for 6 years to us the Fianna Gaeler fleeces the country for all he can get as his goodbye, would anyone expect anything better ?

" Enda Kenny ran up more than €130,000 in travel and hotel bills during his last four months in office...... The biggest chunk of the bill came from his trip around the United States for St Patrick’s Day where he travelled to New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC as part of his seven day mission. The total cost of his US trip was €77,000. Mr Kenny’s wife Fionnuala travelled with him on the trip as did six governmental staff and a member of his security detail. "

And quite right too, the elite need their mercs and percs like fish need water.

The wage slavers will just have to empty their pockets for our glorious elite.

Signed
Enda.

Funny, you almost sound like you wish he had been unlucky.

You're right though. When history weighs judgement, Kenny will be seen as a mid-ranking Taiseach who steered the country off the rocks.

Much like Obama actually. Although obviously very different characters. It was actually Obama's Recovery that saved Ireland.

When your face is on the money you dont need a mandate.

Pay attention.
