A bit of German humor if you will :)

A few of them on Reddit are having the craic mimicking Trump's campaigning tactics.

Personally, I just want to see European leadership refreshed where such a thing as vision exists again, the last ten years have just been a brutal failure of mediocre conservative federalist centrists, beige would seem exciting around them.
But SF have always been opposed to Europe

- since way back in 72 when we voted to join

- yet you seem to want it Good & Hard....

Reagan was just about as damned during his presidency and now is in line for sainthood .
Reagan had a track record in politics. He was perceived as a warmonger and initially wanted to weaponize space. He was also believed mostly not in command of his faculties, but he was a president for all Americans, not just people who were nice to him or voted for him. His legacy is based on his actual achievements, which were impressive.

Maybe we should send Ruth, if as other posters have previously stated on other threads, she has gone so far to the left she eventually ends up on the extreme right, in terms of intolerance. Ruth finds Bridget's crosses offensive, she finds images of white hands, offensive, she finds the unborn child offensive, to me, at any rate, PBP/AAA is the reverse side of the same coin, one marked conform or we'll shout you down.
Oh. This meme again.

While all the attention is on Macron and his wife, it has been revealed that Marine Le Pen herself misappropriated expenses from the European Parliament, her response was to throw the journalist who raised the issue out of her press conference.

Will she be subjected to the same pressure as Macron or in her particular political environment is it not an important issue for her supporters?

It seems no matter how different or apparently different the banners raised by politicians the constant of corruption is not so easy to excise from the equation.

You can be sure that she has as many monied and oligarchic interests behind her as the so called mainstream parties (which always leave behind them a trail of (more or less) slime. She is coming to the election claiming to be a fresh breath of air but maybe the stink cannot be solved simply by throwing out the only person in the room with a nose...

Good. The more light shone on these lads the better. I hope they feel they can step out from behind the veil and show their true colours because more people will realise what they really are.
That's a bit of an open net, don't you think? :)

The far right are the last thing we need to flourish in Europe.
The trouble with being on the far right is that it seems to stunt your hair growth.

Keep promoting open-borders and that's what we'll get. Deep down you know this.
Maybe open borders is being contrived to kill liberalism in Europe (and these new right - all with close ties to Israel like Le Pen and Wilders (and Breivik himself) along with the others whose policies gave them a podium like A Merkel are all just part of the show).

You have to be wary of the situation where a vaccum is created and then filled, it never gets filled by what you were expecting. Take Americans for example, after 9/11 they wanted justice - but Bush just saw an opportunity to enact policies that destroyed all the secular countries of the Middle East and expanded Al Qaeda and ISIS. It ended up costing them in trillions, in lives, in reputation and perhaps most ominously in liberty and in sanity.

It's the dream of every American child. To become President and er, destroy the utopia that is the middle east.

There are an infinite number of layers in hell. Is it not as much an atrocity then to push a country already there further down those levels as it is to take a 'utopia' and place it on the uppermost level?

Your argument, that once a country has problems it's ok to do ANYTHING to it - is sadly one i have heard uttered all too often, maybe mercy is a more appropriate response to a country with troubles than to stomp it into the ground?

The new Right have some... very particular... idiosyncratic differences from the old Nazis or Neo Nazis...

Norway Shooter Anders Breivik

Anders Breivik is a Christian nationalist terrorist obsessed with preserving the “Nordic/Germanic” people. He is also an ardent Zionist. Though he finds elements of Nazi ideology appealing, his 1,500-page manifesto condemns anti-Semitism. He argues that Hitler should have used his “military capabilities…to liberate Jerusalem and the nearby provinces from Islamic occupation” and give them to the Jews. Breivik calls on his imaginary comrades: “So let us fight together with Israel, with our Zionist brothers against all anti-Zionists, against all cultural Marxists/multiculturalists.”.........
.................
While Jean-Marie Le Pen, the founder of France’s ultraright Front National, is a Holocaust denier, his daughter and successor, Marine Le Pen, is working to cleanse the party of its reputation for Jew hatred, telling the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that it “has always been Zionistic.” In the early 1990s, the British National Party organized a violent neo-Nazi gang called Combat 18. In 2009, the party’s leader, Nick Griffin, boasted that his was the only British party to support Israel’s war “against the terrorists” in Gaza.....................
...................
...................
Last year, MK Aryeh Eldad of the far-right National Union party invited the Dutch anti-Islamist Geert Wilders, who lived in Israel as a teenager, back to the country. While there, he gave a speech urging Jews to take over all of Palestine and had a friendly meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
It is interesting is it not?

All these European 'Nationalists' (and the one in the White House) in love with Israel.

And now we turn to the 'left' or 'liberal' as they have been restyled by their own big money backers, what do they represent? Do they represent the interests of reducing inequality? Raising the living standards of the majority of the people? Preserving the cultural and community ties that have strengthened the lower and middle classes for centuries?

Good God no, they represent the agenda of bringing in as many foreign replacements for the lower and middle classes as possible from other countries, they represent washing away cultural cohesion, washing away class solidarity issues, washing away the unity of the family unit (especially with toxic and vulgar interpretations of extreme 'feminism') and it's ability to replace itself demographically. Eradicating European religious traditions while welcoming foreign religious traditions.

So we are caught between those two traps both sponsored by big monied interests, like a deer on a dual carriageway island.

Do you mean Fillon?
Yes, my mistake.

You're giving the tired old centre-left/centre-right too much credit. There's no ulterior motive, as you say a bunch of undercover far right conspirators couldn't have done a better job of it.

Though the reality of the tired old centre-left/centre-right is that they're thick. As thick as they seem. By far the worst political generation in the West since the end of WWII.
