This steaming pile of merde is our entry for this years Eurovision in Kiev. Written by a Brit and a Swede and one from the Louis Walsh stable who surprise, surprise is on the committee that chooses the song and singer. All I will say is we are fecked if his voice breaks before the competition in May.

One thing we are know for is music and whatever one thinks of the tacky Eurovision at least we should try and make an effort to showcase Irish talent. The RTE website says.............
For the past three years Ireland has failed to qualify for the final, so this year RTÉ has pulled out all the stops to find a song that can reverse our fortunes in the Eurovision Song Contest.
This is pulling out all the stops?!?!?!?!?

"The committee" that chooses the national song entry. I think North Korea has one of those too, but theirs has someone more relevant than Louis Walsh.

Walsh's obsession with baby faced soft voiced young fellas is creepy. The boyband lark is well dated.

When you hear the commentators saying the "staging" of the song will be crucial, you know we're into lipstick on a pig territory.

Sweden has had a great run of wins in recent years. They select their song in an "X Factor" type series that runs over several weeks, gets huge ratings and the public vote for their favorite. Then the winning song is released long before the Eurovision, so it gets plenty of airplay throughout Europe and by the time of the contest voters already know it and are bopping along to it.

Did we not once have a national contest to select the act that represneted Ireland, not just some luvvie committee with a raft of vested interests?

Since d'peeple selected Dustin I suppose it was inevitable that our self-appointed betters would have to step in.

Remember when someone criticized Louis Walsh's involvement in selecting a previous Irish Eurovision entry. Linda Martin wasn't happy about that.

Again - our self-appointed betters making sure we knew our place..imagine if people were allowed to question the talent of those RTE insist on ramming down our throats week in week out..it could spell the end of the gravy train.

Has he got nice titties and an obviously shaven fanny?

Nope.

He hasn't a hope then.

When Britain leaves, the Eurovision will fall apart.
They are leaving the EU , not leaving Europe. So they are stuck with paying for it along with France and Germany. Dustin was the only singer of quality we have put in it in the last decade or so. Do we even qualify for the finals any more?

We need more people like that man in television audiences - a straight talker who tells the unplalatable truth would do wonders for the X Factor panel.

More accurately, we need fewer bullies at every strategic corner of the media.
