I assume they will all get a summons in the post for dangerous driving? You and I would if we drove that slow on the motorway.

Its basically nihilism. Disruption for the sake of it with no actual demands.

What harm was done? They made their point.

If we want 5,000 acre prarie farming here, and desert landscapes, then they were wrong.

The harm was to hundreds of thousands of PAYE workers, who subvent farming, being stuck for a protest that definitionally cannot suceed.

Thats before we get to driving tractors at 10kmh on the motorway

Their demands for better prices, changes to regulation and opposition to the carbon tax are not "actual" demands it seems.

Penalty points for driving on the hard shoulder or for driving a tractor in the outside lane.
There were a few of them driving in the hard shoulder in a video I’ve seen. There was a Garda on a motorbike right behind them.

Are Tractors allowed on motorways?
In the normal course of events they are, subject to them being able to maintain a minimum speed of 50KM/h.

Bear in mind that pedestrians are not normally allowed to walk up the middle of the street causing an obstruction to traffic but no one is fined for doing so as part of a peaceful protest.

To the great distress of some, people from outside the capital have the same rights to protest as Dubs.

A sixteen year old can drive a tractor on a motorway without having done a driving test.
Only in Ireland.

Was allowed in the false statelet in NE Ireland when extreme unionists (DUP/UVF/UDA etc) in 1974 when they brought down the power sharing government, headed by the SDLP/UUP lead by Hume and Faulkner and was backed up by the General Officer Commanding British forces in Ireland.

That protest succeeded, brought it down, was resurrected again in 1998 and once again, the same extreme onionists brought it down several times since the signing of the Peace Accord.

Could fill pages, but have decided to condense it for piesters.

Everyone who was late for work or to pick up their kids from creche after a hard days work should get together and blockade their farms at the weekend.
This latest tactic will only go against them losing the support they had.

Think it’s France that only allows tractors on the roads at certain times- certainly not in the rush hour going to work or coming home- plus they have to wash down their tyres From field muck etc before they go on the roads- I don’t mind them protesting- that’s there right - but the rest of us should look to them to keep a few standards up-

Countryside / Rural Political Party Needed.

Write this on your Ballot Papers .

There is no point in Countryside / Rural people voting for any of FFG/Lab/ Sinn Fein.

You've a very confused idea of how political parties are formed.

This protest is a perfect example of what's wrong with rural Ireland. No positive agenda. Just boggers being stupid, ignorant and resentful of people who actually have lives. Many of whom were born in rural Ireland.

These People need a Political Party to represent them . To give them a Positive Agenda . Until the Countryside / Rural People move away from FFG/ Lab/Sinn Fein then they are wasting their Votes.
