The Soundtrack to the Deer Hunter is also excellent imo!

Instrumental Music Thread

Hi, we have a great Instrumental Music Thread going here now. So if you have any favourite soundtracks that are up on YouTube feel free to add them to that thread. Remember this thread is instrumental only, so no vocals/singing, no matter how good the singing is :)

The Vangelis - Blade Runner score is fantastic.
Kubrick's scores are among the best - Barry Lyndon, 2001 Space Oddyssey, Clockwork Orange.
He really knew how to use classical music in a movie soundtrack - just think of space ships docking to the sound of Johann Strauss' Blue Danube or the droogs engaging in ultraviolence to Rossini's Thieving Magpie.
He used Handel's dramatic Sarabande as the theme tune to Barry Lyndon but my favourite piece in that was Schubert's Piano Trio in E Flat which was used as Lady Lyndon's theme ( the lovely Marisa Berenson ).
What a genius that man was

Not a particular lover of Collins but I love this music. Anyone know the name of the music or is there a full version of it?
