If FF don't beat FG in the coming election won't they will be forced to go into coalition with FG?. This will have a bad end for FF.

Even if FF come first and FG insist on a coalition instead of confidence and supply it will have a bad end for FF.

If they go into coalition or confidence and supply with SF they are totally screwed as they will lose middle Ireland.

Unless they win big in the next outing it looks like FF are screwed.

If they weren't screwed after 2011, they may as well take a vow of chastity because they'll never be screwed.

You may think so and reasonably argue so . I have found middle Ireland always looks to its own interest first of all and tends to come out and vote also

Yes Ireland is one of the richest countries in the world but continue to pretend otherwise in your fantasy world.

We're a tex haven. That's when the money comes from and successive governments have failed to use it to provide a decent society which would consist of good schools and a decent Heath service for all, sound planning for a workable urban environment, housing and good roads. Or if you are more of a right-wing person, low taxes. We have none of it. The pi$$ed all away and if we ever lose our tax-haven we will be left with very little to show for it thanks to FF and FG the choices of middle Ireland.

We can but hope.

Another generation being robbed blind by those thieving kleptocrats is not something that should be entertained.

FFailure scum.

The Public Sector got their pay, perks and pensions.

No matter how screwed the rest of us are, the insiders will always look after their own.

ireland is similar to an african oil producing country, it wworks like one, its goverment looks after it partons not the voters, its revenue is wasted, its citizens neglected, big buck deals go wrong with alarming regularity

Blame the mouse in the corner and deny the elephant in the room. €64 Billion for the banksters, €100's of millions in write downs for Denis O'Brien and cronys, tiny taxes for Apple and corporations etc, etc Quite clear who the insiders are.

Quite the opposite.

€64 Billion for the banksters,
"banksters" (whatever they may be) got fukk all. The shareholders in the banks lost everything, as did other equity providers. Between the shareholders and the bond holders they lost more than €40 Billion they had invested.

After the State Nationalised the Banks they put in new capital, as new shareholders often do.

Nothing to do with your "banksters", and everything to do with the customers, society, and the wider economy.

€100's of millions in write downs for Denis O'Brien and cronys,
Denis O'Brien is indeed a problem in this society, as are other (particularly FFailure) hangers on, but are you seriously suggesting that the debts could have been dealt with other than by writing them down to their proper value?

tiny taxes for Apple and corporations etc, etc
Apple pays 12.5%, just like every other business in the Country.

Quite clear who the insiders are.
They are the ones who get excessive salaries, cannot be sacked, get gold plated pensions that people in the real world couldn't afford (even if they were available to buy in the first place), and live off the back of the hard working people of Ireland.

Most of them vote for the FFailures, and they have been richly rewarded for so doing since the 1930s.

Fianna Fáilers are the craftiest bunch of rogues ever to walk this green land. They have reinvented themselves are needs be to keep up in the Great Game of Power and will continue to do so. Witness the u-turn on water charges and then the u-turn on the u-turn. Were there more? I stopped counting....

More importantly, there can be many different Fianna Fáils in existence at the same time in different parts of the country.

Fianna Fáil in south Dublin was out, loud and proud in support of gay marriage. Fianna Fáil in Cavan-Monaghan hid under a rock and pretended it didn't exist during the campaign.

If SF move toward the centre on economics it will hurt FF.
If SF get a new leader it will hurt FF.
If FG get a new leader it will hurt FF.
FG will always get the top 20 and a bit more as those people have no where else to go.
The future is between FG and SF and bleak for the soldiers of destiny.
