Spotty thinks this is beyond parody:

Fianna Fáil boycott of RTÉ's 'Frontline' proposed - The Irish Times - Wed, Oct 20, 2010

“I questioned whether we should have a policy of putting anybody on The Frontline. The view that I take is the programme is constructed as an entertainment programme, not a current affairs programme, and the Fianna Fáil representative becomes the entertainment,” Mr Collins said.
Spotty would make a joke, but he guesses that you're probably already in stitches.

Ah, feck it.

It seems Dick Roche fully supports this idea. This would seem to Spotty to be the first time in history that a clown refused to appear in a circus.

Billy Kelliher did have a look on his face like he just realised he was the main course for the feast on the programme the last night the way he was filleted.

Why do you refer to your self in the third person?

Now if they could just be persuaded, or goaded, into boycotting all future elections......

What would Eoghanacht mean by that?
Oh good! Spotty's always been something of a trendsetter.

In school, he was the first to wear his shirt tucked into his underpants. It took a while to catch on.

Lookie here at the none too thinly disguised threat to RTE to lay off FF or else:

It was suggested the Government should continue to pay for “free” television licences for citizens who qualify for them, but the money should not go to RTÉ.

More importantly it is an indicator of FF's inability to distinguish between whats good for FF and wahts good for the country

A bunch of FFking village idiots on tour get upset about being "the entertainment".

What are they doing? Forming a village idiots union?

Will it be covered by the Croked Park deal?

Last sting of a dying wasp. They won't have to worry about it after the election

"Meanwhile, Dr. Alan Aherne........gave a highly praised presentation on the economy to the meeting. Brian Cowen and Mr. Lenihan were both in attendance"
Did it go something like, OK let's recap lads - can either of ye tell me what are the factors of production again?

"There was some praise for Mr. Cowen's recent media performances"

How RECENT? "Performances"? Is he looking for an Equity card?

Send senior people on and rip the b*lloks off PK when he starts his "whip the crowd up" routine, end of problem.

In the long run, hiding away from RTE is not the answer to anything. Blueboy radio at Newstalk maybe, but not RTE.

A sort of "When Two Tribes Go To War" only not from Hollywood? Still though it would be a change if FF got off their fat arses and started defending what they are trying to do rather than running away every time that Enda gets shouty. Ironically, I think that FG is giving away the next GE to Labour and there's just an outside chance that FF could even be in the next government.

Yeah it is far simpler to change the channel.

Politics is supposed to be a blood sport and the crowds are getting restless.
