Bookies, Ladbrokes, is today offering odds of 100 to 1 for Fianna Fail to win the next general election, whenever that may be.

It is also offering odds of 1/3 on the Irish electorate going to the polls before the end of next year.

Despite the recent calls for a national Government involving the main parties, the bookmaker is offering odds of 33/1 on a Fianna Fail/ Fine Gael/ Labour joint effort, and the firm give 15/2 for an election to be held before the year is out.
BUSINESS WORLD - Fianna Fail 100/1 to win next election

There is money to be made. If anyone has any that is.

Ladbrokes just following with Paddy Power and Boylesports who also released prices this week.

No news there. Nice advert for Ladbrokes however.

The value was the 12-1 PP offered last week on 33+ women TDs in next dail - This after Labour's Poll - Now into 5's

By win do they mean get 84 seats?

If so you could borrow a million and put it on to win 10,000 -if your name was Fitzpatrick.

Hard to know what winning is. Winning a majority, no chance.

Having the largest party? No chance too.

A little early to suggest anything as to the direction the election may take.

I do not know about that. Kenny is holding back FG and Labour could yet be found out on their economic policies. Labour were also flying high in the polls in the locals/Euro elections but crashed down to earth on the day to 13/14%. I would have a bet on FF winning the most seats at 100/1.

Depressingly, me too, at those odds. It's certainly within the realms of possibility.

There is one fabulous bet on PaddyPower at the moment - SF to win 3 or less seats at 6/1.

The minor parties will be an irrelevance at the next election, it will be all about FF/FG/LAB and the formation of a government between them. If you look at their existing seats all bar Cavan/Monaghan look at risk. At the moment Labour could take out their seats in North Kerry and Dublin SC and Louth is back to a 4 seater with Labour certain to gain a seat and FG knocking on the door as well.

6/1 is a standout bet.
