Ulster Fianna Fáil November 26
Please see below for an invite from Fermanagh Fianna Fáil Forum to attend their launch this Sunday:

Fermanagh Fianna Fail official party launch takes place this forthcoming weekend, Sunday, 29 November 2009 at the Westville Hotel, Enniskillen.

Minister O’ Cuiv, along with other party representatives will be present at this official launch. We extend invites to all those who would like to be present as observers and also to those who are keen to make supportive contributions. Invitees are requested to attend at 2.30pm to facilitate a 3.00pm launch start.

Fianna Fail participation in Fermanagh is largely people driven as the Good Friday Agreement provides the unity which Nationalist Ireland seeks. Fianna Fail will never succumb to the sectarian narrative of Catholic versus Protestant or a narrow nationalism that fails to take account of unionism.
As we continue the process of organizing throughout the North, we can feel confident that our Republican values represent a vision of a pluralist Ireland where all traditions can be accommodated. Our delegates, as far back as the 2002 Ard Fheis, passed a motion calling on the party to organize and contest elections on a 32 county basis. People are actually encouraging the party to participate in the forthcoming 2011 elections and we are confident that we can deliver on this.

Our move to Fermanagh today, therefore, should not come as any great surprise. It is clear our membership the length and breadth of Ireland are enthusiastic and energized by our development in the North. For Northern Nationalists, this process is a welcome opportunity to play a full role once more in Fianna Fail.

As a party, we played a substantial role in forging the Good Friday Agreement and the arrangements since then to provide stability to Northern institutions. Are we now content to see those institutions which we played a major role in establishing governed in a way we cannot seriously influence? In Fianna Fail, we can offer a real all-island alternative for the North’s future. Only by playing an active role within the North itself, can we fully unlock the synergies of North/South co-operation and maximize the potential created by the Good Friday Agreement.

In Fermanagh, we look forward to playing our full role in this New Ireland and to developing and nurturing the party’s structures in the North. We are enormously thankful to all involved in ensuring a successful launch. A big thank-you to all who join us and we sincerely hope you enjoy the event.

A chara

The Fermanagh FF Forum will launch this Sunday 29th November, all are welcome, please email fiannafailfermanagh@googlemail.com for details. Senior ministers will be in attendance, aswell as FF members from all over the North and the island.

The FF in the North thing is all smoke and mirrors. It's just to keep up the facade that they are a "Republican" party and not a front organisation for corruption and cronyism. They have been playing this game for years. They have no intention of running candidates in the North

Maybe they should go and die for Ireland too while they are at it... we'd be all better off

Even if they were running candidates, it's highly unlikely many people would vote for "Feena Foil" in the North because they have seen what a complete mess they have made out of the economy down here. Sounds like political grandstanding to me!!!

Why on earth would they even want FF in the North? They've destroyed a perfectly good economy in the South. Do they want to bring in the IMF in the 6 counties as well?

as a wise man once said "nationalism is the last refuge of the scoundrel", slaps of FF being desperate to distract from the utter destruction they've brought to this country are now looking north for something positive....

regardless of your political belief's if your based in NI you'd be best avoiding this bunch of crooks...

We would be very lucky to have integrity, honesty, accountability and transparency introduced into the Northern Ireland Assembly. With the South been prime examples of the above I would hate for South Ireland to suffer while Fianna Fail has to divide their well experienced talent. Wait there a second, maybe not a bad idea.

I am rather surprised at the reaction to Fianna Fail the republican party in the North .

We will be running candidates in the 2011 election and there is no shortage of candidates willing to run . The interest has taken us all by surprise and Like the next election in the Republic we will surprise you all;)

Care to make a projection on the number of seats you shall win or what percentage of votes FF can garner.

neoliberal gombeenism is an all-Ireland problem that requires an all-Ireland solution, FF are not that solution.

I would imagine any young people who have a connection with Fianna Fail in the South will be ashamed to let their names on a ballot paper here never mind the in the North the next time,After all their years, all the have done for their country is brought disgrace on their party and on their country.

Is that your way of saying the Republic already exists?
