We missed the cunning of Fianna FAIL again :(

Now that the developers have been baNAMA`d they needed funds for their election campaign.

They called in the IMF.

Biffo is only dragging out the election date to March 2011 so that all those promised schools, hospitals and sports hall get built.

Live register will fall by about 50,000 in January 2011.

They might even provide proper funding for mental health.

Do not trust Fianna FAIL

Well this is about the time FF would normally be gearing up to buy an election ( into the home strait of a 5 year term ) but I don't think doling out the goodies comes under the IMF's austerity programme

Don't do this to yourself hammer, don't think the EU/IMF will allow their money be used as a slush fund for re-election. Even if somehow it was, I hope we have learned the lesson of being twice bitten in re-electing ff to lead the country

I guess this is the story which is giving you these thoughts:

That's why in Ahern's perverted logic, he was a Socialist. His builder & developer mates created the wealth and he re-distributed it in the form of unsustainable social spending.

IMF seem keen to stimulate employment with the idea re attracting women back into the workforce. I cannot see them cutting the capital budget any more.

Knowing Fianna FAIL the €5 billion wouldn`t go to far.

Might just about sort out Michael Lowry & Jackie Healy Rae "pet projects" :) :) :)

I'm sure at least some of the IMF money will be used to pay off the FF tab in various drinking establishments and maybe a few more free bars like the one in Galway where they drank the place dry.

Face it, we're being run by a bunch of drunken morons. When you include that factor, the context to all the FF decisions over the last number of years becomes clear.

They were either drunk, hungover or rushing to get to the pub before closing time.
