I am loathe to believe a biased unionist website. It claims links between the Catholic Church and the IRA. It cites the sending of a golden crucifix to a dead IRA hunger striker in the early 1980's as evidence of these supposed 'links'. This demonstrates the mindset from which the website is derived...

I notice it gives NO evidence of Pat Finucane being involved in IRA killings. It is also very selective in that it has a lot to say about the PIRA and very little about the Loyalist terror groups and the British securcrats who trained, armed and funded them. Further, it alleges Southern government involvement in setting up the PIRA, without providing evidence of this.

This is obviously not an apolitical website dedicated to supporting victims of all religious backgrounds.

And even if, as the website alleged, Pat Finucane was involved in something shady, that does NOT justify the UK security forces having him murdered. There isn't even an allegation that Rosemary Nelson was involved with the PIRA and yet she was killed by collusion. If the British authorities use the tactics of terrorism a la Black and Tan-style reprisals against innocent civilians, then they are no better than terrorists themselves.

pluralist,

No matter how you choose to look at Pat Finucane, the brits were up to their arses in collusion with the loyalist forces. Are you going to defend or deny this?! Are you saying it was permissable to shoot him down? But you have the audacity to rant and rave about the IRA?? You can't have it both ways, so you need to make up your mind on what is acceptable and what is not. If Pat Finucane's murder is acceptable in your eyes then stop your B/S about the IRA.

Everything that is done in darkness will come to light, his murder will be rectified and the brits will be internationally labeled for the cowering dogs that they are.

I think pluralist was just on a drunken anti-Shinner rampage last night.

His family were republicans and Sean O'Callaghan says so, so obviously he must have been in the IRA (the MONSTER! :x).
Yes, because Sean O' Callaghan and FAIR are both noted for their credibility.

When was Sean O' Callaghan ever Chief of Staff of the IRA, he may have been a member of the AC, but he was never COS, he's a walter mitty.

Is Pat Finucane any relation to Brendan Finucane? There is a facial similarity.
