I know a fellow who has a shop in that shopping centre - two or three times now he's had the buckets and mops put to extensive use.
Sounds an ideal place to open a Mop, Bucket and Sandbag Shop?

If it was hung above the flood line, it would be too high up on the wall for the average Corkwegian to view it.

There are solicitors' offices on the Mall with steps up to a first floor entrance, because the ground floor one was originall a boat-house entrance for the boats running up and down the Mall at the time. So now.

There's water running underneath most of the major streets in the City.

Yep and when the tide is in it's only a foot or so below the South Mall. As are the some of the big old pitch beams that would have been the quayside. They came across quite a few when the new drainage scheme was being done.

esb doing the practical thing,they have to release excess water,even though they know their will be consequences..

they dont...then a whole lot of uisce does a lot more damage...
