So thon hard working f**ks on the hill have received a well deserved pay rise for their invaluable work...

MLAs received a £500 salary increase in March – and are in line for a similar increase in six months’ time, despite not having sat in the Assembly since March.

Since they last sat in the Assembly on March 13 – the first time they had been in the chamber since January – to sign in, MLAs and their staff have cost more than £6 million in salaries and expenses.

Mr McCartan told the News Letter that MLAs were entitled to “three months’ notice like any normal employee” and therefore the government should move to clarify for them and for the public what will happen to their salaries if direct rule is implemented.

Its better to get them used to big money for after the Border Poll .

It wouldn’t be nice if when they join the Dail that they don’t know how to handle big money and expenses .

They need to learn how to live it up and enjoy themselves . Isn’t one of your brightest and best just back from Sri Lanka where he had to force himself to have a good time .

What an absolute kip the place is. Lol
Baby Doc could've stayed in Sri Lanka until his dying day with £100,000. Has Junior's solicitor been back in touch?

Yet more hypocrisy from our OO bellhop on here.......the OP refers to nickels and dimes compared to the many millions wasted on policing sectarian hatefests, repairing the damage done through the bonfires, Twattell debacle....I could go on and on.

Just out of interest, what is the total cost of policing the thousands of marches every year in the North ?

Note the word "total" :

"Just out of interest, what is the total cost of policing the thousands of marches every year in the North ?"

You don't have to make a big deal - it's a straight-forward question.
If you're not willing to answer, no problem.

I agree with Bridgey about the raise.

But it is a bit rich (geddit?) coming from Bridgey the Dupper when he was a canvasing and a spouting on here about the great Arlene during RHI.

No doubt the RHI thread will be busting at the seams when the leaks from the inquiry start doing the rounds.:D

ATM, I am aghast at the hypocrisy shown on this thread and the double standards shown by the creator of such badass tunnel vision.

She should still be hammered about this RHI. Somehow the ILA has become the red line.
Poorly played by the shinners.

Fair enough.

I was still interested to know the total cost of policing all the marches annually in the North.
I would have expected him to know the answer - but he choose to avoid answering instead.

The Nationalist electorate had had enough.
Worth bearing in mind that the Irish Govt. support a stand-alone ILA so it's far more than just a Shinner issue.

She can only be "hammered", hopefully not literally:D, if she is found guilty of any wrong doing, (Johnny Bell could be the main guy here)

so hopefully, all witnesses are not bought off.

Regarding your comments on the ILA, most stoops, sticks, militant republicans, west brits and other anti Republicans will likely agree.

The extreme right unionists, some sections of the media and other anti Republicans continually peddle this red line crap imposed by SF........which of course is far from the truth.

Whether it be Stormont or Westminster, lets have legislation for agreements already made and end this nonsense once and for all.
