What exactly do these parasites do? Collect vast amounts of taxpayer money in order to promote immigration..

They're screwing us on the double.
It will all eventually swing the other way and I hope Karma tosses these parasites to the dustbin of history. McCarthyism plagued the US many decades ago and now the extreme left are having their day - ironically, the modern left has nothing to do with social protection and everything to do with reintroducing a mutant version of Marxism.

It's inevitable that it will swing the other way in the extreme which is worrying. In the real world most people aren't really concerned with this nonsense and it's mostly uber liberals and some right on woke students, usually black and or Muslim who suck it up because it feeds their need to revel in some kind of imagined oppression and have their victimhood celebrated. We are talking about a generation who were taught that they were all super special and now that attention is mostly gone but the desperation for attention still remains and any attention is better than no attention.

It's as though student politics is behind Europe's political policy making. I'm in favour migrants who are skilled professionals who have skills that we need coming to Ireland to work, but on visas not on some sort of asylum gig. I'm not in favour of bringing in economic migrants who've paid to be trafficked to Europe being brought over here to spend years living in Direct Provision suckling the taxpayer for decades while they make failed asylum claim after failed asylum claim. This is going to drag Europe into war which is the real reason Macron and Merkel want an EU army.

There will be civil wars as citizens refuse to take any more rapes and murders and sundry crimes committed by these migrants and there will be wars because Brussels tries to foist quotas of these migrants on countries who refuse to take them. 100 years on the 3rd World War might be a charm for Germany.

So it's announced at The Fine Gael Ard Fheis that Lithunanien is now on the curriculum, to what purpose I ask-they are already fluent in that language and the only time they speak English is outside the home.
Can someone enlighten me as to the sense of this move.

I looked up this quangos audited accounts. The most recent is for 2016. Surely 2017 should be up by now?

Anyway at least the 2016 accoounts are transparent. The CEO, despite his Masters in Globalisation, gets a paltry €70,000 pa. How does he manage?

Maybe he got a big payrise in 2017 and this has somehow delayed the publication of the audited accounts 2017?

Story in the ST today which should make your blood boil.

Denise Charlton the former CEO of the Immigrant Council and well known Social Justice campaigner has joined Pat Kenny and other residents of their exclusive Dalkey enclave in opposing plans to develop apartments and housing in the area.

The reason? It would result 'in the devaluation of adjacent properties'.

Her father had famously been involved in a 'boundary dispute' with PK but now she's joined forces with the broadcaster in opposing something that would devalue their properties.

Social Justice warrior involved in blatant nimbyism. Add this to Aodhan O'Riordain in the list of SJW hypocrites.

Hilarious. The media/political heads in Dublin have been condemning Irish people as knuckle dragging racists these past few days because some of our citizens have decided to take a stand against hotels being used to house migrants - most of whom we know nothing about. Yet these same people in their Dublin bubble, very quick to use the race card when it suits them, are dead against enrichment in their own areas. They are morally bankrupt, virtue signalling charlatans - and it's about time people realised this.

And it's not even like they're opposing the location of asylum seekers in the area. They are opposed to having anyone housed in their area because it would devalue their own properties. Realistically it would be professionals moving in to the proposed housing.

You're right. I just can't bare to listen to these clowns preaching to the rest of us, when we know that they would be the first to oppose any halting site/direct provision centre/social housing in their area. Kieran Cuddihy on Newstalk has been slandering the people of Donegal and Wicklow these past few days for organizing meetings and voicing their concerns about hotels being used as direct provision centres. Would he be happy with a direct provision centre in the middle of his town? Ciara Kelly said on Brendan O'Connor's programme a few weeks ago that she would have no problem with a halting site next to her house. Bare faced lies. If they practiced what they preach I wouldn't mind, but they are just so disingenuous and smug.

It's like any of the makey uppey degrees they brought in over the past decade or so ago, they were handing out degrees like tissues and then an industry had to be created to support those degrees. Take these feminist studies courses for example. Now it's one thing sitting around bitching about men, it's another thing when you've left uni and need to earn some money from that. So, you start making up nonsense like inverted misogyny and unconscious bias, that way you get the men and the women. Then you start handing out business loans to women who start running courses for businesses so they can pretend that they take this sh1t seriously.

Then over time you add to it by throwing in consent courses, of course there's also the whole billion or so pick and mix genders now too to choose from. I can change my birth cert to say that instead of being a woman I'm now a man and my husband can get his birth cert changed to say he's a woman, so instead of being a hetero married couple I would legally be a man who is actually a woman, married to a woman who is actually a man, that's insanity.
Agreed.

Its an interesting decision and inconsistent with another case that is similar. In Ranelagh there was widespresd opposition to the building of a hotel (now open - Dylan Hotel) as it was only a few metres from the nearest house and overlooked local housing, causing lack of privacy etc. Also the hotel was not providing parking in an area where residents fight for on street spaces. A n ew hotel was considered more important than dealing with residents valid concerns.

yet in Dalkey, the provision of housing (for the middle classes given the prices the housing will fetch) is less important than the concerns of a few very well heeled people.

Yes, use the site for a combined halting site/detention centre and bring in celebrity architect Dermot Bannon to design it with a new TV series to record the highs and lows of the development.
