Frank Dunlop - When will the Judges say 'Enough!'?

Today's evidence is amazing, and completely unreported. Dunlop's diaries were doctored by Dunlop AFTER he 'broke' in April 2000. References to Owen O'Callaghan were entirely obliterated by Dunlop, but the Tribunal has established that one of these was an entry recording a meeting with Padraig Flynn on October 7th 1992. WHY? Dunlop is covering for O'Callaghan still, and the Tribunal counsel clearly doesn't believe Dunlop's evidence. The Judges intervened to ask why he did that to his diaries and he claimed he couldn't remember. So when will the Judges throw down their pens and say,'Enough is enough!' and send Dunlop to the Four Courts?..

Dunlop's moment is coming but they need to extract as much as possible so that when he goes to the Four Courts he will be on remand because the danger of him absconding must be getting larger and larger.
The meeting with Flynn would be interesting FF have circled the wagons and we need Mahon to penetrate and stay in the saddle, Albert will do the Brutus act on Bertie the Ides of March are coming.
How the good judges can listen to Dunlop constantly for another 3 weeks will test their patience but they will justify all the money if they can keep Bertie's folly Govt at bay.

Gilmartin was right about Dunlop from the start, and apparently didn't fall for Dunlop's 'conversion' in 2000. According to the transcripts he rang them and told them not to be fooled. It seems that they agreed.. I can not understand how today's revelations have been deemed un-newsworthy, they are potentially devastating. Flynn's bank lodgements in October 1992 will make interesting reading..

O'Callaghan is paying Dunlop's legal billls. The key issue here - the one that can't be dismissed as a 'dig-out' is Golden Island (a favour was certainly done by Ahern). Mr Gilmartin also claimed Mr O'Callaghan told him the Taoiseach had been given between £25,000 and £30,000 for granting tax designation status for the Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone. This was allegedly Ahern's cut of the £150,000 given to Reynolds in the bedroom of O'Callaghan's Cork home.

Both Mr Ahern and Mr O'Callaghan vehemently deny either receiving or making these payments. If this allegation stands up, Ahern is brown bread.
Flynn and Reynolds of course have the goods on the Taoiseach.

I think Flynn and Reynolds are up to their own eyes in it, leaving Ahern aside. It was shown today that Ahern's secretary rang to find out what rooms Dunlop and O'Callaghan were staying in at the Great Southern in Killarney in late 1992 when they were at some FF fundraiser attended by O'Callaghan, Dunlop, Reynolds and Ahern. Why? And why on earth did Dunlop try to do something so desperate as obliterate an entry in a diary for a meeting between O'Callaghan and Flynn when the Tribunal had the means to prove that he did it? It's stunning evidence and not a word is mentioned anywhere..

Yes, Gilmartin gave Flynn £50,000, but thought he was making a donation to Fianna Fail, even when Flynn told him to leave the payee section blank on the cheque....

Something must explain Ahern's stance regarding Beverly?

Well we know Gilmartin told Sean Sherwin, the FF National Organiser soon afterwards, when Sherwin said that the party was in debt, that he had already given a donation to the party. Sherwin's reply to Gilmartin was instructive, 'Well Flynn must have pocketed it, we didn't get it..' There's no doubt Gilmartin meant it for the party, there's contemporaneous evidence of it from FF themselves..

The price of Pee's silence is the half-car. A spell in stir might loosen Dunlop's tongue though.

Besides the £50k chq, where else is Flynn's tentacles or has he just jumped in like Lawlor and says he represents the Govt and needs to be paid, it very much looks like a different bribe had to be paid to each FF'r.
Is it true Flynn is a wealthy man in his own right from land deals and planning permissions in Mayo many of which involve Bev's beau.

Are the Guards forbidden from acting?

My (non legal) understanding is that Owen o'Callaghan has been accused of bribing councillors. Please correct me if i am wrong. If that accusation is on the public record, shouldn't the Guards have a char with him?

I made this post last May. I still have hope.

What I'd love to see happen is for a whistle-blower to expose as much of the corruption as he/she possibly can. Say a high-level civil servant who has documents, proof, recordings and all sorts of things over a long period of time. Imagine this guy could not live with guilt of being complicit by having done nothing about it though he himself had gained nothing. A feisty oulfella but not too old, who simply could not stand to see the people of the country he loves being so untrustworthy of our politicians and their every utterance and action. Someone to sort the whole thing out for once and for all.

None of these tribunals (smokescreens) - no leaks, no rumours just the first we all hear about it is: 'In a series of early morning raids today the Gardai arrested 5, 10, 50 whatever of the countries leading politicians in a major corruption investigation. Immediate Gardai involvement, arrests and charges made. Fantasy land?

Yes this would be a wonderful scenario but when you woke up you would be in Disneyland and stoned out of your brains and hoping your new mates in white coats will get you home, they keep promising.
In Tommy G's evidence he speaks of the mystery man who asked for 5m in Lein Hse, I believe he knows by now who this was and probably has disclosed it to Mahon but they are patiently putting the evidence together to nail the whole rabble together.
Would love if a whistleblower from the IoM bank came forward again and disclosed Bertie's 15m (?), again I think Tommy G knows who he is as the guy was in touch with him several times but unless the guy stands up himself Tommy G will not out him.
