Unhappy that their Government are ignoring their protests the French are now planning to step up their actions by calling for a Bankrun!

Go on the French!

I think its a great idea and we should stand by our French friends and do the same!

French activists call for a Europe-wide and joint account termination on 7 December on.

Everyone should get his money from the account. The question is: What does this protest? In France, the last weeks protest enough - at least find the three fanzösischen citizen Yann Sarfati, Arnaud Varnier and Geraldine Feuillien. As the street demonstrating against parliaments and obviously have nothing to do and - as its finding - the real power in the hands of international banks and corporations lie anyway, they want a new form of protest to cause quite a stir with: on 7 December, all citizens of the country break up their account and withdraw money in cash it.

Then, it hit against the activists, the money can be first put in a suitcase or a social bank to invest. About 7000 people took to the the call page on Facebook Join logged linked.

I'm worried that the smell of all these crusties looking for their 23 euros 12 cents back may harm bank staff.

Thats a brilliant idea. If they can do it in big enough numbers, that will really hit the ruling class where it hurts.

Well the only way to hit international banking is to stop using money completely. The only product they deal in is money.

But the time will come when the banks will charge you a massive fee for withdrawing large amounts of hard cash to dissuade you from existing the banking system. The printing of real money will decrease over time so that everyone is forced to use plastic even for the smallest of transactions. It will be sold to us as being more efficient and safer for for the customer but it has absolutely nothing to so with our needs. It's about keeping real cash out of our hands.

That sounds like a very good reason for communities to set up LETS systems. AS long as the vermin have control over our money supply, we are merely slaves.

Yet again the French step up to the plate when it's time to take on the ruling elite. I'd join in here but my money is long gone from the Irish banking system.

+1

Nothing wrong with parallel currencies and LETS but the devils will try to discredit them and where money is concern confidence is everything.

What is money? it is a mental abstraction, an abstraction of a claim on some labour in the future, the clever part is that it is not tied to a single individual but to a society.

The labour of a man can be further leveraged / enhanced through energy e.g oil and human creativity in the form of technology, often called productivity increases.

Understanding can allow society to slip the physcological knots of money / debt, in its current guise, which binds and ties people, maybe then we get a new paradigm.

Money is only important in so far as, what it represents.

The type of action described in this thread is far more effective then rioting or demonstrating, the next step imo, is to deny them legitimacy, this might only, take a letter making ones intent clear, coordination and numbers being decisive on this point.

As an aside and worth watching imo, Sir GoldSmith prescient warning and causes of the current crisis, made in 1995.

This has to be one of the most wilfully idiotic things, well, ever.
Oh yes, worrying our masters is a willfully idiotic thing to do. Where would we be without our masters...

How exactly will unemployed French people or their employed or retired compatriots on low incomes be helped by a banking crisis?

Our beloved finance minister, Brian Lenehan, has made many statements which have proved to be misleading or just plain false. However, there's no arguing with his point that anger is not a policy.

I'd like to see all bank deposits withdrawn and put in credit unions instead, problem is the banks wouldn't have the money to pay everyone their savings back.

You are aware, I presume, that some credit Unions are not paying interest on deposits?

God, what a monumentally stupid idea. It'd almost be worth watching it happen, just for those idiots to see the consequences of their actions.

Anyway, Sarkozy should declare December 7th a bank holiday.....
