Concerns over potential listeria contamination have forced six UK supermarkets to recall a range of products with immediate effect.

Making up the list of supermarkets involved with the move are Aldi, Iceland, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose.

Listeria can have serious negative effects on pregnant women, babies, people over the age of 65 and those with weakened immune systems.

See link for products involved. Not sure if any of these products are available in the ROI, but better safe than sorry.

For myself I only use frozen peas and sometimes frozen spinach - great for bread making.

I saw that, it's scary how many products were affected. I eat a lot of vegetarian stuff and much of it has corn in it.
