A row has broke out in slap ball land over the flying of flegs...

Last Sunday there was some controversy at Healy Park in Omagh when several GAA supporters flew Palestinian flags in the ground. This happened during the senior GAA championship game between Tyrone and Monaghan.

The Palestinian flags were removed and afterwards a GAA spokesman told the Irish News (22 May): 'There is no flag allowed other than the official (GAA) flag, national flag and team colours.'

Palestinian campaigner John Hurson said he challenged an Ulster Council official who told security staff to remove the flags.

Known for his work with the ‘Tyrone to Gaza' group, Mr Hurson also manages the official Tyrone Twitter feed during games involving the county.

Obviously the flying of the tricolor and playing the SS is part of the GAA excellent outreach for grants program, however surely this is a case of discriminating against the GAA NF (Nordie Fleggers)? Take thon cork boyo's for example...

Nat a feckin tricolor in sight! moi is sure all p.iester's will join moi in supporting the nordie fleggers, GAA NF...

Was there an anthem played at the game? Cliftonville fans are against anthems.

Every all Ireland day at Croke park I notice a Palestinian flag or two on Hill 16- but it would be a brave or mad official that went into the dub fans to take that flag away-

Why is the SS played at every GAA match ok but GSTQ played at ONE football match a year is bad?
Soccer is a sport that I do not follow. The major issue with the NI football association is that their is another one on the Island. I would guess that the GSTQ issue is a tip of a rather large iceburg of issues.

They aren't fleggers Bridget, fleggers have to meet strict criteria.
They must:
Be encouraged/enraged by unionist politicians.
Bring Christmas shopping to a standstill.
Wreck the place for six weeks.
Attempt to murder/attack peelers.
Have high quality leadership who advise kids not to take bail, then take bail.
Attack Alliance party members' homes and offices.
Hold futile marches.
Attack Catholic homes, cheering and punching the air when windows are broken.
Achieve absolutely fuk all.
Nah, definitely not fleggers.
Poor Bridget, how many threads are you going to start where posters end up making a c*nt out of you? Lol

Only you would be stupid enough to start a thread about fleggers with a few whataboutery pictures.

Unionist consultants Willie Frazer and Vol. Seamy Bryson, they're porper fleggers.
Unionists consulted them during International talks.
Lol

There's nothing wrong with a bit of flegging. I flegged alongside Willy Frazer outside City Hall for a number of weeks. Mind you, as anyone who's stood next to Willy will tell you, you have to make sure you're not downwind of him. He gives off a terrible odour!
