"Dear Michael,
as the constant assistance that my disabled son needs precluded me from attending the Carers Association picket outside the Daíl today I intended to make my own protest by having my photograph taken with a placard outside each of West Cork's three TD's constituency offices and posting these to the Carers Association Facebook page in support. On arriving at your Constituency Office a young women immediately came outside to ask she could help me. I replied that I was just taking a photograph. Her response was immediate....'This is private property, the Gards are on their way.' I left immediately and the Gardai, heading for your office with a number of Gardai in the car, did pass us as we left.
As you well know, I am one lone parent Carer who provides constant care to a very severely autistic young man and....."

This Carer's life is hard enough without having to endure jackboot tactics from a 'young lady' short on compassion.
A new low by our 'caring' elite.

sad story but lets be honest this person will probably vote for SF/ULA thinking they will be different. FG?Lab did in when FF were in power.
Feel sorry for the gardai as well, they are just doing their job.
the weak in our society should be protected end of, not used to get voted for another party.

To be fair also, as someone who's swallowed his bile towards all the parties and voted for either FG or Labour (+ an occasional Independent) in GEs for many years now (I mean come on, FF have been openly criminal for at least 30 years - that far I would not go) I shall probably vote SF or ULA next time too.

We know from experience now how all the others will betray us: let's see how a new lot excuse it. You never know, they might do something useful by accident.

The arrogance of the treatment meted out to the weak just beggars belief.

the chances of those parasites doing something useful by accident is a drop in the ocean compared to the damage they will do.

I was watching that great soup opera Oireachtas report the other night and it showed the senators in up roar over the budget. FF guy attacking that Ivana bacik when (i think it was feargal quinn) got up and in essence said: "Jesus lads calm down the cameras are on and we don't want to give the people any excuse to get rid of us if there is ever a referendum on the senate" what he said was what politicians only care about. what people think of them, it's not doin the right thing it's getting voted in again. All we are to them are pencil ticks on ballot paper.

not many disabled people out there so little votes. Like how the system benifits the old campared to the young. the whole bank debt being a great example, the people who will have to pay it, can't vote either too young or not born yet.

Now we have a political police.
We don't know what the Guards were told by Mc Carthy's apparatchick

Well we always have had a degree of a political police force. Not a dig at the Gardaí rather the gombeen politicans and "pull" which is endemic in Irish public life.
Just look at the cabinet. Enda Kenny NT. He doesn't strike me as a great educationalist and what job did his dad have?

Once local media pick this up McCarthy will look priggish at best. Hopefully the good people of West Cork will remember this when McCarthy goes canvassing.

I wonder what resident blow in former "Senator" Owen Harris will make of it, he is a former comrade, so will he use his bully pulpit in his ex wife's paper to write about it.

Well done this person for explaining the effect of the respite care cuts in simple effective words.

Shame on Labour TD for having an office policy of calling the guards if someone protests.

We are, as taxpayers, subsidising this constituency office.

If this was happening in Africa we would have Gilmore pontificating about it.

Clearly more efficient than the Gardai who couldn't get the breathalyser machine to work to test Hogan's brother after his crash...they are there to selectively serve and protect...

A good, simple and heart felt protest. The “young lady” in question is doing what her type always do: obeying orders. That was the defence at Nuremberg anyways.

For the record, a footpath is not private property.
Bullies always try to claim the footpath from protesters, even benign ones like this.

not many disabled people out there so little votes..
And not many liberal kudos either. These carers are the type the D4 labour set despise.

Now we have a political police.
Nothing really new, just a little bit more obvious.

That is what Labour do. They exist to make the rape of Ireland more palatable and to get some spare change themselves for enabling the destruction of our country.

With fine gael in government its hardly a surprise , still it did not end well for the nazis either did it .
It ended quite well for a lot of Nazis, those primarily responsible in particular. Check out this guy Hjalmar Schacht - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and his Troika connections for starters. This rat beat the Nuremberg rap. He would have fitted well into the Labour Party.

Absolutely nothing surprises me in Ireland these days....Shame on Labour.

Sure labour are only being true to form on this and other things.

Paul Kehoe the chief whipping boy has opened a shiny new full time office in New Ross (it was former FF TD Connick's office). He is based in Enniscorthy so how much is it costing tax payers in having another constituency office in a different district.

And like former occupant he will have protests outside his office for his part in inflicting austerity and helping to dismantle this society. You can have a ring of steel with the boot boys around your office but remember what happened to the former occupant he is now a former T.D......oh the irony!!!

Whatever chance Mc Carthy has of being re elected, something like this will destroy it altogether.
