The German open door immigration policy is influencing and moulding immigration policy within the EU since the Germans have so much influence over EU policy. Germany expects to spend €77 Billion on Asylum Sekers over the next four years. Germany Puts Migration-Related Costs at Over $86 Billion Over Next Four Years - WSJ

The indication is that asylum related immigration will remain a burden for years on end.

Not after they give them German passports. Then they can go wherever they want.

Except Britain.

Imagine what half that amount - say $43bn - could have done to make Syria a safe, habitable country?

Germany playing a very dangerous game that will threaten Europe. 750k people very quickly becomes millions of people, obligated to Germany but free to roam the length and breadth of Europe.

As usual you try to scaremonger with invented stuff.
None of those people will get a German passport in the short run. Most of them will never get a German passport. A small fraction of those people will eventually get a German passport after only many years.

That's almost as much money as you are willing to pay to have a bit of general household maintenance done.

after many years? well it takes many years until after the last court of appeal when an applicant gets deported.
Plenty of opportunity for intermarraige -- e.g. with the local Turkish ... or even gay population.
... and then their offspring who are born in Germany?

Dem Krauts have their work cut out for themselves.

And the matter of the courts... 750,000 people! I have heard figures of 1.million but let's take your figure... this is the figure for 2016. There is the backlog from 2015 and earlier... the figures for 2017 ++++
those courts will be running 24/7/365 to keep up.

But then why should they act in haste? The German Chancellor wanted these new immigrants, visitors -- for whatever reason -- low German fertility --- low labour participation rate -- whatever.

What about their kids?

I'm a migrant.an economic one. Not that it confers greater credibility. But there needs to be a long term view when accepting folks into a state.

Yet Germany barreled down a path over the past few years propelled by a chancellor with a less than straight forward biography when it comes to the nation state , social AGS cultural cohesion and , frankly, knowing right from wrong. ( as one East German commentator put it " i never got invited to Moscow but merkel did , why?"
