I genuinely do not know of such an area that would meet your expectations .Sounds like you could privately rent but cost will will be high .Social housing is in decline because of lack of new build, try a Housing Association.

This thread should be interesting. I'm actually thinking of job-hunting over there in the near future, and I'd definitely be renting -- and I'd want to find somewhere mixed. But the rental market seems very limited.

Tried to go private rental and even offered to pay a years rent in advance - rental market is a joke in Belfast.

Given the staleness of the property market and the increased number of properties for rent ,I find it surprising you have to paya years rent in advance ,usually one month deposit plus references.

As far as Im aware, the NIHE dont have any property available to rent at present in Belfast.
You would be better selecting somewhere within an hour of the city, and go private.

Omagh.

Been out there a few times for a night out, brilliant place.
People are really friendly.

Avoid Belfast, it's a cesspit full of scum bags.

Go around the QUB Libaries and see students wanting/needing an extra flatmate.

It is desperate times.

Any houses going round your way in Lough Road/Victoria Street, Lurgan?

Anywhere under the clear blue skies of Ulster is a good place to live, mate. :)
