Normally we'd discuss what they said, not that they are going to say something - not sure how this constitutes a discussion............

He's pulling out of government - an this was all an elaborate smokescreen to test the waters with gilmore and kenny to see if he could get a deal....

Apologies, David. Just thought it may give people a heads up in case it was carried live on radio.

Not by the looks of things, which suggests that there's nothing significant in what he has to announce (cue jokes)

Exactly.

The sooner the better journalists stop taking any interest in what this eejit has to say.

If we stopped paying any attention to these morons maybe we would get the election we all crave.
If the Greens paid attention to the electorate, they would instigate an election on our behalf.

I assume if it was any major announcement Dan Boyle would be with him, or the rest of the Green TDs

how come he hasnt bothered listening to the opposition over the outrageous violations of EU environmental law by HIS department and HIS government.

For three years the opposition parties have called on him to ratify the Aarhus Convention but he wont !

For the last year FG and Labour have called on him to address the poisonous landfill site at Haulbowline - but he wont

Gormless hasnt played ball for the last three years - how dare he ask the opposition to do so now

The muppet should get off the stage

It could give them what they think is a principled exit: "at this critical juncture in our history we tried to get all parties to work together but they just played party politics so we decided that the people need to be the ones to speak at this grave moment." It would also be an attempt at differentiating themselves from FF's "would eat my own young for power" image.
