Hey

I know many of us suspected that the Government knew more about the potential costs of NAMA the they publically stated. Therefore many posters will find Peter Bacons interview with Newstalk very interesting.

Dr Bacon maintains that he informed the Government about the potentially catastrophic costs of NAMA, at his estimation up to €158 Billion!! Just one month later Brian Lenihan informed the Dail that the costs would be less then €90 Billion.

Economist says he warned government over bad bank loans - Newstalk.ie

Government were told bad loans would be €158bn - Economy - Economy | Ireland's online business and management news service - Businessandleadership.com

P.S: Mods I couldn't find this story on P.ie but if a thread already exists, apologies.
