My American girlfriend refuses to celebrate it, thinks it is a celebrating genocide. I say nothing because i am not American...[/]

True, just see how Lincoln devastated the South, utter genocide.
I saw through her naive attempt to use her girlfriend to convey HER feelings. ;)

We're doing the thanksgiving dinner at the moment and hope to have it ready by six. You have no idea how difficult it is to get certain thanksgiving basics such as fresh cranberries and pumpkin mix over here.
We have Pumpkins piled to the sky. :D I ate a very large meal, drank some Sam Adams Beer, drank some Cabernet Sauvignon. Had cake, pie and ice cream. I will be at the gym all tomorrow afternoon atoning for my gluttony.

Best thing is that the Patriots beat the Detroit Lions. Being from Boston, I am a Patriots fan.

All in all it was good day all around.

Went to a Yankees game a few months ago and loved the experience. Not mad about the game but the Americans know how to make going to a game a great experience. Food was top notch and all!

The triumph of capitalism over socialism in our country’s early history is truly is a reason to give thanks. The Pilgrim’s original collectivist society nearly caused its demise by starvation. But when they decided it was a failed endeavor, and introduced a capitalistic system that stressed individual responsibility, personal freedom, free trade, and private property... came bounty and prosperity, which is to this day celebrated.

I enjoy Thanksgiving Day (even with having over 25 family members at our house “enjoying” the holiday, having to make two turkeys, two hams, and I couldn’t begin to count the sides and deserts. Add to that enough beer, wine and liquor to satisfy the needs of many a drunken sailor). Today I sit at work, dead tired, knowing a good day was had by all attending. It’s the one day of each year many family members get to see each other. (Only wish that some had helped to clean up.)

And the New York Jets won. Who could ask for anything more?

:D It would not be the Holidays without Cael. If you were not funny, you would be sad.

God bless you Cael. Here is a song for you: Give it a listen, you will enjoy it.
Do you deny the genocide of the American people by European colonists?

You wouldn't know an Indian if he bit you. But I will entertain you. Yes there were atrocities against Indians, as there were atrocities committed in every country and land since the beginning of time. It is the nature of man.

I have high admiration for the first world peoples of the US. Did you know, that American Indians serve in the US Military at a higher percentage than any other ethnic group. I served with Indians, and they were good soldiers.

National American Indian Veterans (NAIV)

American Indians have a history of conquering each other. Again it is the nature of man.

American Indians also supported the RA. Here Red Cloud says bye to the Irish prior to his death. He sings a nice song ast the end. He sings ************************atanka

YouTube - irish repulican army & american indian movement

I understand Red Cloud and his struggles, but we are not going to give the country back. The genie is out of the bottle, so to speak.

All nations have conquered. to obtain the land.

Look at the atrocities committed in the name of Godless Communism. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot.

Look at what Socialism has wrought in Europe. Look at Ireland going broke.

Again, it is the nature of man.

Pity the Nazis didnt have you to defend them at Nuremberg - maybe the US judges would have accepted your plea that genocide is just the nature of man, and that the Nazis couldnt really have been expected to defy their human nature.
