Surely the richest man in Ireland is repaying even the interest on his loans.

Maybe a few lump sums against the €2,800 million bearing in mind that his debt to Anglo is over €3,000 million

Give us back our money :(

We could stop cuts to the childrens allowances and home help if he repaid even a portion :)

Quinn and his followers need to be isolated from their FF mates, which can only happen after a GE, then send the surgeons in, sort him out as if he was dodging his telly license and if required we will also get an engraved bucket for the Joy.

If the Govt (FF'ers) had not guaranteed Q1 in the UK, they would have shut him down ages ago, they still might as the guarantee is arse paper and the Brits are going to lend money which will be needed to tidy up after the bluffer that is Quinn.

it was Quinns shares in ANGLO that were shorted in Q1 of 08 that caused the run on the Irish banks. That is common knowledge. He and his family had circa 30% of the bank via CFD.
The shorting of these shares was the reason and the catalyst for what ensued in Ireland.
The blame lies with those who were aware and did nothing : Regulator, NCN stockbrokers, those in Anglo who were aware, those in FF who were aware, his board at the time, the dept of Finance and Minister.
Quinns intentions were not malevolent, he believed in the bank and its future - it was obviously a bad move however he should never have been able to put the bank in this position.

Who gives a damn. Quinn owes us 3000 million and we want it back. Tell the loser to pay his debts. Old people, poor people and blind people are paying for this looser.

Sean Quinn gambled his own money and never was anyone within the community left unpaid.Quinn group put a new offer recently to manage its way out of the situation.I dont know him but he employed vast amounts of irish people in diverse businesses.I rather think quinn would manage than new anglo now defunct.Like O' leary he never kissed political ass and all businesses still pay.He was an investor not profiteer !

We all know Anglo have made a "provision" of €2,800 million against his liabilities.

Is he being persued in the commercial court like developers ?

Has an examiner been appointed against his assets ?

Has he repaid any of the €2,800 million.

This is nearly 50% of all the pain we are taking this year alone.

When will there be a move against his various assets :)
Quinn owned 25% of Anglo-Irish during the height of its criminal career. Anyone who thinks Quinn didnt know what was going on is plain thick. Sean Fitzpatrick was little more than Quinn's footman - and like a loyal footman, he is taking the wrap for his master.

Gambled his own money? No he didn't. You obviously have no Idea what you're talking about. He gambled the reserves of his Insurance company. He took a CFD position that he could not afford by any stretch of the imagination. If it was all his own money he wouldn't owe Anglo over 2 billion euros. What do you mean nobody within the community was ever left unpaid? The people of Ireland are owed 2 billion. He owes every man woman and child in this country over 400Euro.

You must be joking. Everyone in the community is left unpaid. We would employ a hell of a lot of people with the 2 Billion Outside the insurance group he employe roughly 2500 people. That means his hiring has cost us roughly 1million per job. Not a great return I would say.

Look at a civilised country like Canada and see what would happen to the owner of an insurance company that effectively gambled away much of its reserves. Those involved in insurance industry over there would be aghast at what this man has managed to get away with. They are so well regulated that if you're just talking to a broker, they're legally obliged to offer you insurance if they see you with a car, house, you name it or you can sue them if you are uninsured and have an accident. Simply put, it's unlikely he would be living in the lap of luxury over there while being defended by peasant idiots.

His insurance company will apparently be sold in next two weeks to Liberty or RSA. How the mighty have fallen

It is a disgrace that Sean Quinn is living in a mansion like this.
He should be in jail, he is a criminal robbing decent taxpayers.
The country is broke because of him and Bertie Ahern.

Is he repaying interest ? Interest charge should be €110 million + per annum :)

If he gave a lump sum we could protect the blind and the carers :)

Quinn created thousands of jobs but with that comes aresponsibility not to, for instance, put the jobs at risking by gambling. He admitted himself that he got greedy.

His greed went unchecked and caused devastation because holdings of CFDs do not have to be disclosed (unlike shareholdings). As far I know, this loophole has still not been closed.

Did Quinn staff get bonuses.

How much did the departing CEO receive ?

Has the €2,800 million been repaid yet. We could use it to pay everyone a Xmas bonus.

Quinn has shedloads on FF, thats why he is being 'protected', and protected he is. Quinns activities are close to the heart of the disaster that befell this country. Plenty of people know exactly what Quinn was about, Bertie knew obviously, as do the shinner leadership - they would have plenty to talk about in the Joy but in this banana republic that won't happen.
Quinn (or his family) owns Buswell's Hotel in Molesworth Street!

Only a few people get closer to DE's 'heart' than those who frequent that building.

I wonder are the bedooms bugged/two-way mirrors and the like?

I saw Mr A Dukes of Moral Hazzard Country was staying there recently.

One of his daughters owns and runs it ......and it ' loses ' money.
it has got to be one of the best hotel locations in the city.
What deals does he do with the FF country TDs that stay there or Jackie Healy Rae for that matter ?

Listen hammerhead!

The difference between Quinn and Fitzpatrick and the body politic of all flavours, is that Quinn produces something concrete.

(Oh, and he knows how to spell, which is more than we can say for you!).

Pi$$ off and leave this man alone!
My but arent we being a wee bit sensitive---wonder why?
