You should go to Ford with that idea
Staff could work for free as well so no payroll processing costs either !!
Those Consultant chaps have no interest in money and would be delighted to work for nothing in the knowledge they are making a real difference. Save a fortune.

Public Accountable. Pretty sure those two words dont come together in Ireland.

The lefties will claim a for profit health service prioritizes profit over people. In reality a public system prioritizes the unions over patients.
We see this when the nurses ring in "sick" after serious incidents in Irish hospitals and the unions support them over patients that in many cases have been left permanently disabled or worse.

Liam Doran is as big an obstacle to improving our health service as Denis O'brien or any fat cat capitalist the lefties like to bash.
Public private, makes no difference as we pay (twice) either way. Most of the public hospitals in Dublin are complete sh*holes. Vincents is the only one I have been in that isnt. Have been in a few private ones and at least they are clean.

The lefties will say that's because the public hospitals lack funding. Unforutnately for the unions "funding" generally means higher salaries and more staff with no improvement in services for patients.

Nothing is "Free" it is only a question of who is paying.

F*ck the unions
F* the Irish Hospital Consultants Association
F*ck Tony Holohan
F*ck the Department of Health
F*ck the HSE
A health service for patients.

Stick that on your poster
Liam Doran has moved on or retired and the nurses union rep is someone who actually worked as a nurse. Apart from that I agree with you about Irish hospitals and the health service.

Privatised healthcare is the most expensive in the world

If you want to treat people in the cheapest and most efficient way possible then you create a health service free at the point of delivery to everyone.
PRIVATE HOSPITALS
They deliver medical care in France, Holland and Germany, better models than the UK NHS's near monopoly.

Its anicdotal either way but lack of sleep and modern diet are likely places to look for degenerative brain diseases. Half of Americans are heading for type 2 , that will be a huge drain on medical budgets
Americans and Canadians are sedentary, a polite word for physically laziness which contributes to poor health. Many Irish a generation ago consumed maybe 10 to 14 spoons of sugar in their daily 5 plus cups of tea without getting diabetes because they exercised.

Irish nurses on the preausterity pay scale for new hires are paid about 40 percent more than UK nurses and even more still than French nurses. That's why Irish hospitals are short of nurses and A & Es are under constant pressure. Those figures aren't mentioned on the nurses union website information on pay.

This excessive pay can't be reformed as long as political parties are determined to buy the votes of public sector unions especially close to general elections.

@pat. Americans consume over 150 lbs of sugar a year , sugar in your tea would be a medicinal treatment in comparison

That's over 6.6 ounces a day or 45 teaspoons of granulated sugar, a huge amount. Some Americans have a can of fizzy drinks in their hand all day long.

How exactly is he funding this ? Taking a pay cut , paying from his savings ? Cutting the public sector pay bill ?

Would is be more correct for you to say Simon Harris has said the taxpayer is funding an additional 2, 500 beds.

If you cant do anymore then boast about the govermnemnt spending more of our money then lord help us.

The governmnt would take over the whole economy if that would win an election.

CREATIVITY NEEDED
There seems to be little happening to introduce creative controls over costs and incentives to reduce costs as opposed to blunt, unimaginative and overly centralised cost control.
