Incredible that TDs wanting info about public service - what we pay taxes for - have to suggest going to a café with no camera and paying cash....

You'll need a TOR browser, often used by crims in the past....

It's all good advice, but should it have to be this way? Simply because someone out there wants lids kept shut on how our money is spent?

[h=3]How to leak:[/h]
  1. Go to a public WiFi network. Take your personal computer and go to a network that isn’t associated with you or your employer, such as at a coffee shop. Ideally you should go to one that you don’t already frequent. Leave your phone at home, and buy your coffee with cash. Choose a coffee shop without security cameras, or a spot within the shop where cameras aren’t recording. Be aware of your surroundings, turn your screen away from curious neighbours.
  2. Download and install the Tor browser on your laptop (go to the section “Stable Tor Browser” and select the one you need for your operating system and language). Tor Browser maximises your anonymity online because it hides which sites you are visiting (whereas browsers like Chrome, Explorer or Safari are more easily spied on). This is whyEdward Snowden always uses Tor. The first time you open Tor, it may ask you if you want to “Connect” or “Configure”: click “Connect”.
  3. Create your ..... etc.

What if your TD is FF or FG? You would be wasting your time reporting corruption to the corrupt (FFG and their supporters are very fond of corruption and the benefits it brings).

Then you are an Indo alleged Journalist! See below .........

Can you give details of the alleged THEFT you speak of? Maybe you can give details of the arrest and court case?

Who were the Councillors, and how many of them were there?

And the laundering? Where, when and who?

You KNOW stuff about that? Stuff that you can back up? With EVIDENCE? As opposed to conjecture, innuendo or hearsay?

Didn't think so.

I email mary Mitchell O' Connor/ Maria Bailey 2 of my local TDs regularly about matters on the national agenda that I'm interested in-they never reply. You are (as has been pointed out above) wasting your time, these people know more and better than you and that's it.

We're spending €58 Bn p.a., over €1,000,000,000 every week.

Monitoring tiny chunks of that thru TOR seems wrong.

When the state was founded, the civil service secrecy was copied and so everything has to be prised out of "the system" that we pay for.

I prefer the american system of 99% transparency. We are tiny and have no reason at all not to be transparent. Even "commercial" deals should be auctioned by open outcry.
