How wonderful it is to see the earth yield up those bodies. It must be acknowledged that their killers,as they grow old and face their own mortality, have co operated. The long dark night of the soul has its own effects.
I hope that the discovery of Gerrys remains, at long last, will bring some form of comfort to his family, whom have displayed remarkable courage and dignity in the face of unimaginable pain and distress. The deliberate disappearing of innocent victims of brutal violence was not only amoral and beyond justification but it was also unspeakably cruel: not only denying the victim dignity even in death but also intentionally inflicting unbearable suffering upon the family in question. I do, very much hope that the discovery of Gerrys remains can help ease the pain which has accompanied his murder and to allow those of whom he loved, and who loved him in return to bury him with dignity and love; surely the one precious thing which should never be denied to anyone.
