Looking back at the 2016 General Election result I see that a number of Senior Politicians barely scraped across the line to secure their seats.

The questions are.....If there was an Election today who would lose their seat and which of those who hit the post last time would win through.

I'll offer two:

I think Regina Doherty would lose her seat and Paul Kehoe will struggle in Wexford.

Money for a start, its expensive to run even with the support of a party.

I think Alan Farrell would lose his seat with Dr Death returning in his place.

Possible Brendan Ryan to be replaced by a second FF................... both in Dublin Fingal.

FG will lose a seat in Dun Laoghaire, depends on whether Sean Barrett decides to retire again or not but could see Mary Mitchell O'Connor losing here.

But because enough people will be put off by the possibility of another hung Dail type situation if too many independents are elected.

Also think Maureen O'Sullivan could be in a bit of bother , she scraped in the last time and people in her constituency will remember that went for the Ceann Comhairle job which would have effectively left them one rep down there.

Finian McGrath would in danger, had all the answers when in opposition and has done FA since elected.

Has lost some of his team on the back of it also.

shur dont they get their expenses back?????
After about a year but election costs have to be paid upfront. Its one of the reasons TDs hate elections until they have paid down the debts from the previous one.

No chance..................... FF will comfortably take 2 seats in Wicklow with 38% of the 1st Preferences and will run 3 candidates.
38% ? Calm down a bit. Donnelly should sneak in but it will be a tough battle for him.

All labour seats are up for grabs as they have become totally irrelevant and keep clinging to water charges.
