IF THIS IS WHAT WINTER IS LIKE, what is this place going to be in next marching season?

It's like 1970 in East Belfast. What is summer going to bring us? The defining position of unionist politicians is silence when their own are causing trouble. Ironic when being rightwing in a normal society means taking responsibility for your actions rather than pleading rights. But the broadcast media here are with the unionist politicians as they no longer say 'We invited DUP/UUP to come on air but they declined' they have too many friends in the DUP and UUP. The UVF now want a rerun of the Battle of the Bogside 44 years on, except they want to attack the police this time. This is low level civil war already. Charlie Haughy was right. This political slum is unredeemable. It's all over now, Baby Red White and Blue.

Has anyone thought of a possible solution to this issue? The damage to business is pretty shocking, people are cancelling business left, right and centre. A bit of two-way concession is needed.

Derry name change for the fleg?:):):)

Irish language act for the fleg?

I saw a unionist comment that there is now a precedent set that will affect the Ardoyne protest that could mean the PSNI will be unable to remove GARC protestors on the 12th.

Nah!

See, the thing is that unionists took liberties for over fifty years, they still do, in fact. It's come back to bite them in the arse.

Btw, the Irish language act will be forced upon them in a year or two by way of European directive.

If they are so proud of the fleg - why are they all hiding their faces?

And going around trying to hit people with them. Don't they know a National Flag should be treated with respect.

Have a little read about the reasons why I can't speak the native tongue of this land. I will learn it though, for the same reasons.

It'll be forced on the vast majority of Irish nationalists who, as per the census, the vast majority haven't a clue about it and show the vast majority of them have little interest in it. What a victory that'll be for Irish nationalists. Ffs, if it wasn't so pathetic and a waste of public funds it'd be hilarious.

It's nothing to do with the flag. It's recreatonal derring-do. They can't believe their luck. Mischief making for the sake of it, plain and simple.. They have nothing else to do.

What, like loyalist culture which over 46% of the population is not even allowed to join?

Just re-read the context of this post. Are you for real? What a poor response. I'm embarrassed for you. Well, just a wee bit

You might very wel think that. I couldn't possibly comment. Well, I could, but it wold be surplus to requirements. Another St Matthews siege 1970 style not entirely out of the equation?
