CS is right, all they do is manipulate invisible currency, they don't produce anything which has a use value.
Exactly and we are not some sort of tiny principality like Liechenstein where we could do this as a hobby.

We are a large island, rich in resources, that are currently being pillfraged by foreign banking cartels.

What wealth do you create given your condescending view on others ?
I created more real wealth and good for this country in 2 minutes than in your entire lifetime you pathetic elitist sycophant.

How go back to e-mailing about arranging a pecking order for the new hotties in the block or badgering a small business over missing petty cash dockets or whatever other bullsh*t you pretend to be good at you FF muppet. Better still go home and get your f*cking shinebox or anything other than here making yourself look like a complete tool with your blatant ignorance of economics and pretentionus inverted snobbery and contempt for everyone else.

Well giving you are being pedantic over a rant on the international banking cartel, I assume you quite like them. Therefore you should like Sarah Palin. So stop being a hypocrite and a word of advise, do something about that anal retentive issue you have.

Its a forum ffs, is there a necessity to proof read everything?

IFSC sector employs 32,700 people - RT News

7.4% of GDP

€2 billion payroll

Pays €2.1 Billion in Tax including 36% of Corporation tax

Funny how so many people on here are abusing companies who came here for low corporation tax while overlooking what it contributes annually.

STILL WANT TO KICK THEM OUT ?

Any company that provides employment is more than welcome and any company that pays tax here at a preferred rate to the rampant socialism elsewhere can't be blamed for choosing Ireland.

Companies employing 32.7k people pay 36% of total CT take. That is quite a share. It means companies employing about 2% of the workforce provide 1/3 of all CT. They are of course paying high levels of PAYE etc as well but presumably only 2-4% of these. It may explain why CT seems to be holding up well this year.
It sets out very clearly the position we are in with the CT rate. I'm not a big fan of being a tax haven. AS CS points out these companies just push paper or buttons these days. If we had a normal tax rate say 25% then we would have to work harder at attracting industry and employment. Instead we took the lazy route. Drop your taxes and they will come.

Do I still want to kick them out? No but I'd like to see us move away from our dependence on them.
