* Today's releases of the horror flicks starring Irish financial sector are up and running, folks.
True Economics: 15/3/2013: IMF Assessment of the Euro Area Banking Sector Risks - part 1

"NPLs in EU banks continue to rise, outpacing loan growth (Figure 4). Since 2007, loans to the economy have decreased by 3 percent while NPLs increased by almost 150 percent, i.e., €308 billion in absolute terms. And, this trend shows no sign of reversal, reflecting the continued macro deterioration in parts of the EU and the absence of restructuring."

True Economics: 15/3/2013: IMF Assessment of the Euro Area Banking Sector Risks - part 2

Let's start with a fascinating chart showing the sources of financing for the real economy in the EU compared to the US:

True Economics: 15/3/2013: IMF Assessment of the Euro Area Banking Sector Risks - part 3

So here you go, folks, per IMF, there's an ambulance to help the injured, but currently it exists only on the paper and even as such it is still pretty much unworkable. Good luck with setting up that triage, mates.

Can Enda's new 5 point plan save the Banks or is Peter M on the dough re the €60 Bee recap?

Can the Govt undo the damage or is the ship sinking?

As you can see from the top 2 Graphs Ireland is heavily dependent on Deposits from Overleved Banks.

Klaus Regling recently claimed that there would be problems for future Bank Bailouts from the ESM.

Where is Ireland headed from here? :?

We are in a place now so surreal economically that we may have to appeal to the International Red Cross for emergency supplies of metaphor.

Extremely, extremely bad in the Medium Term if events outside of Ireland don't bring the mess to our doorsteps sooner.

Given that they have dipped our pension funds.
I don't believe a word from any government ministers mouth.
If there was ever a time to STFU with inanities.
This is it.
Cause Simon you haven't a clue.
Especially given you are getting the advice from the same crew as "advised " the previous dopes

All the banks in the Eurozone are sound. The stress tests told us that. ;)
