Victims of the Waterford sexual sadist paedophile learned of the news from the media.

Fury as State probe axed into 'cover up' of Waterford paedophile Bill Kenneally's abuse - Irish Mirror Online

One brave victim, Jason Clancy, 47, told The Mirror last night that neither he nor fellow survivors were told about the decision and learned about it through the media......During his four years of hell in the 1980s, warped Kenneally blindfolded him, tied him to trees and sexually tortured him.

He said: “This is the biggest kick we have ever felt."

The victims, all from Waterford, maintain Gardai, members of Fianna Fail, health authorities and the Church knew for YEARS about the abuse but failed to stop it.

Mehole Martin complicit in covering up this vile abuse.
It's a body blow to the victims who've gone through hell as it is. However, can you imagine the furore if a future criminal trial was aborted because of evidence given to the enquiry.
No winners here.

If charges are being pressed I can see why a tribunal at this point might not be wise. If. If they aren't or do t materialise different gravy.

It's the right decision, but the OPers point is that the victims shouldn't have found out on TV. Which is correct.

He must be tried fairly before an inquiry but there should be an inquiry, there is a real stink off this.

The sick f.cuk should serve that sentence in full!

How and ever all kinds of allegations are being sloshed around here against the usual targets

None of us, ever, wanted to go public. We were told, at the, around the time of the court case, that Kenneally would not be named unless we went public

Victims rarely do

- but when the Church respected their wishes to keep things private

- it was branded a 'cover up'!
