Netanyahu was always against the Iran deal

Trump for some reason has decided to be tough on Iran

Netanyahu now claims Iran was indeed secretly pursuing nuclear weapons - whereas for the deal the Iranians said they never were

It is not clear if any of this new intel is since the deal, also even still it may reveal operations still ongoing...that said, for such a dramatic presentation, it proves a damp squib thusfar, best summed up by:

Hey, uh, I don't know how to break this to you, but the whole reason the E3/EU+3 wanted to negotiate the JCPOA was to verifiably constrain Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions. THAT WAS THE WHOLE FÚCKING POINT.
However Fox is brazenly misrepresenting Netanyahu's material as proving a deal breach:

Also, if Trump pulls out absent hard intel of Iran breaching its obligations, then that does not augur well for any other future US treaty, e.g. with North Korea

Israel says Iran hid nuclear arms programme - BBC News
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed what he says are "secret nuclear files" proving Iran is covertly pursuing nuclear weapons.

He said 55,000 pages of material obtained by Israel showed Iran had deceived the world since signing a deal in 2015 to curb its nuclear programme
Full presentation by Netanyahu here:

He dramatically unveiled what he claimed to be half a tonne of documents and CDs recently exfiltrated from Iran:

"We've shared this material with the United States and the United States can vouch for its authenticity," he said, adding that Israel will show the files to the Atomic Energy Agency and the international community.
Is the 12 days when Trump has to decide on the deal enough time ? It will take time to examine these docs, and presumably the International Atomic Energy Agency would have to travel to Iran to inspect sites and verify the intel ?

Amazing timing. I presume the Israeli's just recently acquired these "10s of thousands of pages". Pity Trumps not big into reading.

Fantastic. Just when he is sticking his nose up Chinas skirts and under investigation for multiple crimes of corruption.

Netanyahu’s go-to when he’s in trouble is to shoot someone.

Well he has just admitted that Israel engaged in international espionage, so that is something at least.

If he has proof that Iran is in breach of the agreement, then that is a serious issue and it is irrelevant when it is being announced. However now that he has announced it he must back it up and release the documents to the co-signers of the agreement, and let them pronounce on their authenticity.

The war criminal wants another war to cover up for his corruption.

I opened a thread on this. Did not notice this one.

Will leave it to the Mods, though this one was first by 7 minutes.

Maybe he does, or maybe it is just a cover for Trump to dump the deal. However if he has documents that are relevant then he should produce them to the other co-signers and let them decide.

Look he is not an honest broker in this, none of them are, but if there is evidence that Iran are in breach then we should know about it. Then the tricky part of what to do about it will start.

The BBC got it wrong in their report.

Netanyahu did not present evidence that Iran were breaking the deal, just that they lied in the negotiation.

Bit of a difference.

Both the US and the IEAE have certified that Iran have abided by the deal.

But once the braying right-wing Fox News and Co get hold of it, they will not highlight the difference.

2003 all over again, and the drumbeat for war swells.

The Netanyahu presentation is based on documentation that was available to the IAEA before 2011. And US intelligence presumably had it before then. It's a recycling.

Mossad gave him sh*t.

So this is going nowhere.

Jesus, the world is really paying for this “Obama legacy”

So it turns out the Nobel Peace Prize is in fact an award for the biggest, dangerously naive narcissistic moron in the room.

Israel wants protection from nuclear players without engaging themselves with the international regulators.

It was assumed that Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons, this just seems to prove that

Unless the intell ends up revealing a current research programme, or new sites, then I don't see it as news
