I doubt Israel is that worried, they have no intention of flying anywhere near those missiles!

There is an inevitability about that and then the airwaves and the newspapers will be full of people wailing and keening about an attack on a peaceful people. Any Government that struts its stuff like this deserves all that's coming to it.

The S300 is a highly advanced Russian made surface to air missile, the latest version of which was sold with much publicity by Russia to Iran. It is thought Iran previously purchased a few hundred of the slightly earlier version from Croatia and Belarus. It's a purely defensive weapon as its sole use is to defend Iranian air space against hostile aircraft including cruise missiles and ballistic missiles and the later versions can track and destroy stealth aircraft too. Iran is thought to have several hundred of these missiles now.

I don't think anyone can deny they have a right to defend their own territory.

What is it with you Zionists that you always need to be attacking someone? Does the sight of women and children being slaughtered give you a high or something? Is acrotomophilia the norm in Israeli society?

Lucky for us then the Brits didn't bomb us when we used to hold our Easter military parade

What your not supposed to see...:)
They're not being deliberately hidden. They are the maintenance free firing tubes they come in. The only time they leave the tubes is when they are fired.

Just watching a youtube clip on the system. Quite an impressive piece of kit and ,apparently, the Israelis even sent their foreign minister to Russia in order to prevent the sale.

Yes I remember the fuss well. Funnily though I can't seem to recall the same fuss when the US provided their equivalent patriot missile system to Israel. I certainly don't recall Clanrickard et al demanding Israel be instantly annihilated for showing such naked aggression ;)

Against whom exactly? The only threat to Iran to date has come from its next door neighbour and he's now out of business thanks to the US. You would have thought the Iranian theocracy would have been grateful for that. Instead they accumulate a load of, what can only be described as "first strike weaponry", to protect themselves. Due to the poisonous mix of intolerant religion and unhinged religious leaders Iran is now viewed by most of its immediate neighbours as a dangerous regime. Those weapons on display are of no use against them so the target must be further afield.
