Danny Healy-Rae: 'God above is in charge of the weather and we can't do anything about it'

INDEPENDENT TD FOR Kerry, Danny Healy-Rae today had his say on climate change, telling TDs that God alone is in charge of the weather.

...

“Mankind, I don’t believe, had any hand, act or part in it,” he told the Dáil.
And there you have it, we officially have our own Palin.

A man who does not believe in science, discounts the views of 97% of the scientific community, and thinks everything that happens is because of 'God'. Well, the God he believes in (Not Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah, or that Protestant God).

What about the Ice Age? Was that due to something or other? Global warming perhaps? All those stone age tractors and central heating...

Good to have a go at the Healy-Raes whilst both Poker Face and his windmills are shown to be the height of inefficiency.

Michael Healy-Rae will henceforth be knows as "Danny's Smarter Brother". Now we know why the Dad left his seat to the younger brother.

Climate change deniers are rare in Irish politics, it is striking that Healy-Rae did not announce this revelation during the election.

The only other climate change denier I can think of is Sammy Wilson of the DUP.

If 'God is in charge of the weather', does that make us Gods we learn to control it ?

I do hope if/when Kerry is hit with any sort of weather related catastrophe that the good people of the kingdom will look skywards and pray instead of heading up to Dublin with their begging bowls out.

FFS...

We really can't point fingers at anyone including the yanks and their Trump f*** up when we've home grown imbeciles like this polluting the airwaves with their BS.

There's something a bit off about the climate change brigade.

20 years ago they were telling us that London would be under water by now.

There are more planes and cars now than ever before.

He's dead right in one way, introduce a tax to change the weather, the height of arrogance, idiocy and sheep following the herd crap without question.

If hairs on the palm of your hand is the first sign of madness and the second sign is looking for them, surely these traits have been superseded by people who believe they can legislate for outside temperature by passing a law in the Dail.

Cars 20 years ago produced emissions that you'd need a chainsaw to cut through.

Yes, it is well documented. Their predictions fail and fail and fail again. Yet they keep claiming their model (human CO2 is primarily driving climate) is correct.

Most people - including 90% who will post on this thread are very poorly read on the subject. 90% probably don't even know who James Hansen is [he was the "scientist" that really kicked this into political high gear with the collusion of polticians and wealthy socialist groups like Greenpeace]

Here is what he is documented as saying in an interview in 1988. There is some controversy about whether he said, or meant "in 40 years time", rather than the "20 year time" that the reporter recorded. But nevertheless, the rest of the content was not and is not disputed.

This was his 100% confident prediction abut the year 2008, or 2028. Take you pick, it doesn't matter. Think to yourself if this guy - the Godfather of Climate Alarmism - deserves any more respect that Healey-Rae:

While doing research 12 or 13 years ago, I met Jim Hansen, the scientist who in 1988 predicted the greenhouse effect before Congress. I went over to the window with him and looked out on Broadway in New York City and said, “If what you’re saying about the greenhouse effect is true, is anything going to look different down there in 20 years?” He looked for a while and was quiet and didn’t say anything for a couple seconds. Then he said, “Well, there will be more traffic.” I, of course, didn’t think he heard the question right. Then he explained, “The West Side Highway [which runs along the Hudson River] will be under water. And there will be tape across the windows across the street because of high winds. And the same birds won’t be there. The trees in the median strip will change.” Then he said, “There will be more police cars.” Why? “Well, you know what happens to crime when the heat goes up.”

You can't mock Healey-Rae and his theory as laughable and then claim James Hansen or his theory has a shred of credibility.

It's upsetting that these people will probably form part of the minority government. The 'rural alliance', only 5 TDs will get their policies implemented at a national level. I have every confidence that these policies will be extremely expensive and detrimental to the economy, environment and the community. No doubt they'll try and roll back on restrictions on one off houses, they'll get a few bypasses for their villages, their boreens tarmaced and fiber broadband right up to their living rooms.

Meanwhile the majority of people will face hours of commuting every day, provision of housing and social housing will remain nill, health services will continue to deteriorate because new a&es have to be oppened in ballymacnowhere, all because of this sort of cute hoorism.

I haven't heard any policy on TTIP, contingency for Brexit, policy on migration etc. we're too busy naval gazing.

His "God creates the weather" statement is clearly laughable.

But don't believe this is any different to the Climate Alarmism that he is opposing.

People seek mystical an theories to explain the explainable - anything too complex for us to solve, like what happens to consciousness after death, how did the universe as we know it come into being - is a candidate for a ropy theory of cause and effect.

Climate Alarmism is now filling that role as part of a generalised misanthropic movement. "Humans caused it". A species goes into decline - "humans caused it". There is a drought "humans caused it". The migratory pattern of a species of bird has changed "humans caused it". And on and on and on.

It used to be "God caused it", now it is self flagellating "humans caused it". Two irrational responses worthy of equal mockery.

The Healy Raes know how to wind up global warming fundamentalists in Dublin.

Hook, line, and sinker.
