Ireland in 2040, Your Thoughts?

Apologies if there is already a thread on this, I couldn't find it on a search and I would be surprised if there was none, a national planning framework for Ireland 2040 was launched in February by The current Fuhrer and the most likely next one and it seems they want to know our opinions.

What will Ireland look like in 2040? The government wants your thoughts

Well my view on it is that most likely Ireland will be poorer then than it is now, Brexit and Trump's clawing back of FDI will not be in any way good and we have not yet and nor will we be sufficiently able to foster the outward expansion of Irish Businesses to compensate for this damage by 2040.
Other huge downers are -

An increasing older population, though the demographics are more favourable for us than virtually any other developed nation. An older population will place massive further and proper demands on sectors that currently as it is don't give a shyte!
I could virtually guarantee under the moral hazard/socialism for them, capitalism for us principle that The Banker Bankers will try it again before and possibly long before 2040!
A distinct prospect of having a Punt Nua or EU break up would set us afloat!
A public service pension bill of 3 times the banking bailout will fúk ordinary folk up quite considerably!
Any good news?

well have either had a very nasty war and be recovering from that or we will be integrating ever closer to our technology and going down that rabbit hole.

I think it will be very old people left watching TV and reading newspapers.
How do you think the middle crassses will reinvent themselves with many of today's soft jobs gone, I reckon they will without a doubt, as they always do!

I hope for:

- An end to the Catholic education monopoly.
- An end to taxpayer funding for religious-run hospitals.
- Repeal of the Swedish model.
- A statutory link between population growth estimates and public health/education/infrastructure spending.
- Indexation of social-welfare payments.
- A numerical cap on non-EEA immigration, including any family members.
- A neoclassical building programme to instill classical (as opposed to terrorist) republican-virtue into Irish architecture.

Ironically Hiberno-English will continue its decline as young Irish people will continue to talk in pseudo-North American accents due to spending most of their time online.

The Irish language will undergo a renaissance as people realize it is the last bastion of cultural difference between them and the rest of the English-speaking world.
