Ireland has no real poltical oppostion to the mainstream parties who are all near identical on every majour issue. Ireland needs a new party that will advocate for the following.

1. Complete halt to all immigration
2. Leave the EU and restore the Pound
3. Prevent legalisation of Abortion and Gay Marriage
4. Restore the Death Penalty and Corporal Punishment in Schools
5. Abolish Income tax and fully privatise Health and Education
6. Restore sensible Censorship laws
7. Incourage Marriage and Reproduction
8. Inccourage Mothers to stay at home and rare children
9. Tougher criminal justice system that deters crime.
10. Protect Civil Liberties: Freedom of Speech, Private Property and right to send your children to a religious school.

Not really, traditionally freedom of Speech has never included pornography and extreme graphic violence. A person can be Jailed in Ireland for saying something controversial about minorities but is free to show films like saw or sell games like man hunt. This is a massive upheval of Freedom of Speech.

Start an Irish wing of the BNP, sounds perfect for you. The INP.

According to who? Our rights are not derived from governement they are inalieable, if they are they are not rights?
Just because someone can be imprisoned for undermining "public order or morality or the authority of the State" or the publication of "blasphemous, seditious, or indecent matter" doesn't make it right. It certainly doesn't make it right wing.

BTW, I agree with you on Pornography on the grounds that I believe it is prostitution.

One must assume your moniker a comically ironic one.

All immigration?
First off that is a stupid idea.
Secondly, no really it's a terribly stupid idea.
Thirdly, why?
Finally, did I mention how stupid an idea it is?

2. Leave the EU and restore the Pound
Why leave the EU?
And also, why restore the pound?

Common_sense said:
3. Prevent legalisation of Abortion and Gay Marriage
Abortion is already legal in Ireland, it's just highly restricted.
Gay marriage... so legal civil unions between same sex couple with all the legal rights of marriage but a different name would be fine?

4. Restore the Death Penalty and Corporal Punishment in Schools
Personally I think death in schools was overrated.

Common_sense said:
5. Abolish Income tax and fully privatise Health and Education
Now you're talking.

6. Restore sensible Censorship laws
Like?

Common_sense said:
7. Incourage Marriage and Reproduction
How, by banning condoms and using state funds to reward rabbit like breeding?

Common_sense said:
8. Inccourage Mothers to stay at home and rare children
Hmmm... ok, why?

Common_sense said:
9. Tougher criminal justice system that deters crime.
opposed to what, one that encourages it?

Protect them unless you're gay, is that it? And freedom of speech save being subject to "sensible Censorship laws"? And as for the last two, Pat Kenny aside, where and when have the right to private property and the ability to send your children to religious schools been in doubt or thret in this country?

It's not a Conservative/Right Wing Political Party you're looking for it's some weird, nationalistic religous party with a strange economic twist that you seem to want.

Funny that. One glance at the BNP's economic policies would remind you of a group of bigots with seats in the Dáil no less, Sinn Féin.

A right wing conservative party the last thing it would do would be to protect civil liberties

It's not a political party you're looking for it's time machine to take you back to the 1950s. Looking at those policies I'd think you'd have more of a chance inventing a time machine than with a political party advocating all of that

Oh it would protect liberties alright, but the liberties it would be protecting would be far from civil.

I'm not exactly sure "common sense" had grasped that "right wing" and "conservative" are different things. Or, indeed, that crazy religious nut-jop party whoes economic policies would have us eating dirt and "right wing" and "conservative" are different things.

Well I'm not laughing. Perhaps "common sense" is to political ideology what Ed Byrne is to comedy.

We don't have the same class of nutjob in politics that we used to: Bean Ui Chribin, Alice Glenn, Oliver Flanigan. Nowadays the headbangers all work in the media. Many Ellen Synon, David Quinn, Ronan Mullen, Breda O'Brien, Kevin Myers.kieron Wood...
