Hundreds of thousands of Irish people over the last 6 weeks have been sorely inconvenienced by ignorant fascist thugs who do not respect a democratic decision to reduce the number of days the union jack flies on Belfast city hall. The consequences have led to significant disruption to hundreds of thousands of Irish people living and travelling to the area and has cost the city millions in much needed revenue, not to mention ill feeling between communities.

Apparently this is not newsworthy for the main page of politics.ie who continue to operate a partionist policy.

A significant investment of money is and has been made by Irish people in general and the Dublin government in infrastructure, enterprise and trade in the Belfast area which is surely to see a negative return things to Fascist thugs draped in union jacks inspired by the British sink estate National Party.

Wake up politics.ie and drop the partionism, it only undermines the site.

I take your point, but it also shows a partitionist mentality to complain about Irish people being inconvenienced. In a UI, the people doing the protesting --like 'em or loathe 'em-- would be Irish citizens too.

Democracy must win out. Street violence can't dictate a reversal of the flags decision.

It's good training for the GardaĆ to watch the video tapes of the riots to prepare for when there is a UI ;)
