Are you suggested they should not have reported what was said in court as evidence?

Surely it was their duty to report that.

Well scraping the barrel is not new for the Alt Left,, their only problem these days is Joe Soap is waking up to the endless free reign they have enjoyed over the last while in the media and getting fed up.

Sure as always, it is what they are not telling you about that intrigues our interest, the "Yes We Can" and multicult failure when nobody wanted multicult in the first place is far more interesting. The dumbing down process is over, the social welfare housing lists and hopefully real examination of the likes of Geldof etc may begin,

Millionaires , non problem solving snake oil salesmen (liberal offence was the snake oil) but in the end fooking clueless spoofers like O Gorman that were never qualified to solve anything but were quite good at using their "offended so I am right" sales pitch to get the media on board for free is coming to an end.

O Gormans views offend me but I don't go around looking for free money and calling him a Nazi and have 2 magnificent properties with a 6 figure salary without producing any commercial products, his product is guilt selling and we are all out of guilt in this place given our history of never invading anyone or causing any real harm in the world,. thankfully we are now entering a post liberal fascist scumbag time and there is nothing the media/current crop of politicians can do about it because their D4 smugness was yet again shown in Roscommon this week.

That has to be one of the most misleading titles on a thread ever here.

We know next to nothing about Islam or the Alt Right in this country.

Living in a bubble is dangerous.

We appear to live in an era where words are not required to have meaning.

I think the big shock here is that the IT reported the news and didn't put a liberal bias on it....oh for the good old days.

The good people of Roscommon are about to get a lesson in the first and will probably take a turn towards the second, so that's going to burst the bubble fairly quickly.

Indeed. Cant fathom what the point of the OP or tweet is based on reading the piece.

As for the IT not being on the right side of history - surely folks recall that the IT was a paper whose staff and editorial decision makers up until relatively recently were in the minority view in regard to the belief that Ireland should exist as an independent state?

And in regard to the IT rationing how its assigns page space - would this be the same paper that continues to publish certain church service times, social engagements from particular strata who would be so inclined and goes big on niche activities like rugby games between private schools?? The idea that it is either a quasi-gazette or "paper of record" is fanciful....

My local the broadsheet , the NYT has the good graces to stick the NY in its title and also to restrict local news to its NY section. And while the opinion pages may be 60-40 in one direction they are at least more balanced and mind expanding.....plus the religious, social and sporting activities of old Dutch and Mayflower descended families dont get print coverage in the way their equivalents in in the IT do.

Great find from Conor McCabe. Yes, as McCabe states, 'Sure it's about opening a conversation...'

The poor buses and those pesky 'negroes' and their stones.
So from now on we all just make stuff up :-(

Not sure what you mean. Are you suggesting that in 1956 reporters " reported " and you prefer it in today's method where reporters " opinionate" ?
LOL. And from the IT of all people ....!!

It is an interesting find, but the thread title is a bit of a fail.

This is the headline and first part of the Irish Times/United Press Associations article. For some reason it was left out.

And that takes some beating on here.

Thread could have been "Irish times report court case word for word"

Wouldnt have been as much fun though.

A Pointless thread , if the OP has a grudge against the IT they need to come to battle with something better.

The term Alt-Left refers to National Bolsheviks, Authoritarian Christian Socialists, etc; it doesn't refer to SWJs. Anyway Mr Aphorisms would be "Old Left" rather than a SWJ or Alt-Left.

Looks pretty standard for 1956, and lifted from newsfeeds.

In 2056 people will be going on about how we eat animal meat.... plus ca change.

Haha, defending the indefensible. Have you not heard the news -- about the fake news of the NYT?

For example --
