GROUPS of Irish Travellers have caused havoc in Finland after embarking on a crime spree that included the massacre of €2,000 worth of birds.

Camping sites all across the Nordic country have been put on red alert not to accept the groups after a recent spate of disturbances.

Included in the growing list of activities for which the Irish people are being blamed is the killing of ducks and rabbits, as well as drink driving, shopliftings and a traffic accident.

A group of around 30 people have also been evicted from one campsite near Helsinki after pouring 10 litres of diesel onto the ground.

The Travellers are said to have "pretty fancy cars and vans" but when questioned by police about their animal killing spree, two young boys told officers they were hungry.

According to Finish police, the boys shot several animals at a duck park in Tampere on Sunday using their uncle's airgun.

Ari Luoto, who is heading up the investigation, explained that the boys had been living with their parents on a camping site and that an excuse of getting food "isn't convincing".

He said it was unlikely that the family didn't have any money since they were driving very expensive vehicles and caravans. "If you draw a conclusion from that you could doubt that they are penniless," he said.
One member of the group told Finland's main newspaper: "The Irish are going to leave the country now."

Allowing himself to be identified only as Martin, he added: "We haven't confronted this kind of racism anywhere else."

Martin's group were evicted from their campsite in Porvoo after diesel was found scattered across the site. The owners of the site explained: "When we asked who did the pouring, they just said that no one had done anything."

Another Irish group believed to be involved in the slaughter of birds were evicted from a camping site in Tampere on Tuesday.

Finnish media outlets have been carrying extensive coverage of the Irish antics since Monday. Aamulehti reports: "The situation has come to the point that Lomalliitto (a campsite company), which has several camping sites around Finland has denied access to all its sites."

The terrible these is this scum are labelled as Irish.

If travellers cant read and write, who fills in their passport forms ?

I met a midwife who used to deliver babies on their camps in England, they refuse to go to hospital, she used to have a Police escort on site.

These people should be put in state camps and "socialised", letting them run amock is not acceptable.

At least the UK took passports off its soccer hooligans and stops them travelling abroad. The republic should do the same.

Disgraceful behaviour. As someone whose relatives were robbed of thousands of euros by Travellers I empathise with the Finns. The Traveller community is going to have to put its house in order and cooperate with the Gardai in fighting this menace from within the former's fold.

Well, we have a regular Finnish poster on this forum. It would be interesting to hear what THR makes of this.

They are Irish.
They are a cultural subgroup, the Finns think they are normal Irish.
They're Irish as any other Irish citizen and have the same rights and duties as any other Irish citizen.

What's a 'cultural subgroup' ??????

What's 'normal Irish' ??????

A young girl was murdered in England by a bunch of young thugs who thought/considered her 'subgrouping' / 'not normal' because she dressed Goth!!

A load of Irish people went on an alleged rampage in Finland; you call them Travellers, the rest of the world calls them 'Irish'.

They're still Irish.

Yes, but the Finns are calling them "the Irish".
As Finns are wont to do.[/quote:kdid5y9w]

What is wrong with you people? Of course the Travellers are Irish! By all means give them passports and let them travel the world. Hopefully they won`t come back! If you don`t believe me just ask the people of Tuam, North Dublin or Ballinasloe!

Yes Indeed. I would put them up in Finland with the Eskimos. Who cares as long as we can be rid of them.

p.s. I think you meant "you`re" in that context. Also "don`t". I suppose you were too busy over in Killistan learning the Koran off by heart to pay any attention to your English Imam.
P.p.s That would be spelling lessons "from you".

this particular bunch of scumbags can occupy a campsite, lay-by, car park, sports fields, etc, even private property in our country and it takes weeks or months to have them evicted, regardless of what litter/environmental health problems they create;
yet the finns can kick them out at the drop of a hat;
now thats what i call action;

The Finns are dead right. They had a good man to show them the way. General Carl Mannerheim kicked the commies` ass when they invaded Finland in late November 1939. The Finns were eventually subdued, but not before they had made a laughing stock of the Russian hordes. No better people to deal with the knackers. We Irish don`t seem to be able.

I don`t believe for a second that you are a genuine Muslim, but just in case, can I just say that I am just off to bed after I have finished defecating in the direction of Mecca!
