Can't get either the live radio stream or the news website.

They have resources coming out their ears for their website.

Yeah - looks banjaxed .... tried it on a few different Browsers

Is a coup underway and Montrose taken over? :p

They are claiming it is a hardware problem, according to the radio, which is still working...

There is far too much ************************, clutter, show biz, crap etc etc on the site. No wonder it collapsed. A hard drive fault, though, is a childish excuse.

They should have an updated RTE.ie 'lite' on permanent standby to kick in as a contingency whenever this happens... without all the clutter... just plain unvarnished news updates and info re programme schedules.

It is an intolerable dereliction of duty on their part that we are without their web site at this time of national crisis.

Hardware does not necessarily mean just a harddrive. Running a large site network like RTE's is a bit beyond running a little shared hosting website and a network fault or a key server fault could cause the kind of problems seen.

A hot spare would be nice but the site seems a bit complex for its own good.

Good job P.ie is still here. :)
