I have been just reading up on the orange order there and I was horrified to discover that the OO is breaking the law by banning catholics or people with close catholic relations.

Members are required to be Protestant.[46] Most jurisdictions require both the spouse and parents of potential applicants to be Protestant, although the Grand Lodge can be appealed to make exceptions for converts. Members have been expelled for attending Catholic religious ceremonies. In the period from 1964 to 2002, 11% of those expelled from the order were expelled for their presence at a Catholic religious event such as a baptism, service or funeral.[47]

The Laws and Constitutions of the Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland of 1986 state, "No ex-Roman Catholic will be admitted into the Institution unless he is a Communicant in a Protestant Church for a reasonable period." Likewise, the "Constitution, Laws and Ordinances of the Loyal Orange Institution of Ireland" (1967) state, "No person who at any time has been a Roman Catholic … shall be admitted into the Institution, except after permission given by a vote of seventy five per cent of the members present founded on testimonials of good character …" In the 19th century, Rev. Mortimer O'Sullivan, a converted Roman Catholic, was a Grand Chaplain of the Orange Order in Ireland. In the 1950s, Scotland also had a former Catholic as a Grand Chaplain, the Rev. William McDermott.
Should these guys get brought to court or something?

Imagine if FF where to ban to people according to their religious beliefs...imagine the scandal?

Whataboutary at it's finest!!!

Can you not deal with the questions posed by the original poster?

The orange order are a hate organisation and should be treated as such.

Marrying a Black AHEM! sorry, a Catholic also gets you banned.
You take an oath swearing to never marry one, be a God Father to one etc....

They probably whip you for speaking to one.

So what?
It's 2010, that's what.

Whats your point about the off topic AOH?
Do 2 drazy cults cancel each other out in your mind?

Do the KKK cancel out Combat 18?

The OO breaks many laws but its so riddled with terrorists and has such an extremist following that anyone who took them to the ECHR would probably be killed.

Instead its all tolerated like extreme Muslim rituals.
