Qatar's propaganda network which never criticises Qatar is going to be taken off Israeli tv networks and their press credentials revoked. On the one hand it is a subversive network so why allow something that set out to undermine your state but on the other it has low ratings and now Israel has given them some victim status.

Israeli's decision to block Al Jazeera condemned as 'full frontal attack' on press freedom | The Independent

Israel’s decision to block news channel Al Jazeera because it claims the network “supports terrorism” has been condemned as an “undemocratic” attack on press freedom.

The Israeli government also claimed the broadcaster was “a tool" of Isis, whose followers subscribe to an extreme form of Sunni Islam, and also Iran, the leading Shia Muslim country.

Al Jazeera reported on its website that it had been prevented from attending the news conference at which the announcement was made.

I recommend that they allow Al Jazeera.

But they should ban PRAVDA-rte - due to it being sheer bullsh1t.

I highly doubt RTE is shown in Israel.
I doubt if it is being watched.

Kevin Myers moment coming....it is not like as if Jewish people are reknowned for their ability to reject worthwhile knowledge, evidence, learning, nd useful onformation ( and by implicataion liable to reject some coke sniffer telling everybody else how to live their lives ).

I disagree with this decision. The Israelis seem to be taking one side on what is a bitter row between Arab states and the Israelis would be better off keeping out of it.

Anyway, Al-Jazeera has a none too subtle agenda and they'll never discuss the slave wages paid to unfortunate south Asian workers (quasi-slaves) in Qatar.

they are a dreadful network, they go after the US because of their slave history and as you point out the working conditions in Qatar and other wealthy Muslim countries.

Al Jazeera Plus says "Black Lives Matter."

Al Jazeera English says "what we do to blacks in our own country is none of your business."

Al Jazeera Arabic says "Black Slaves for Sale."

The west should have nothing to do with anyone in the ME, leave them all to their own devices and they leave us to ours.

They are right. Al jazerra used to be a good, strong voice, with a perspective that needed to be heard.

But since certain individual, rich, extremists (who used to fund terrorist groups on a private basis), have made such significant inroads into the Qatar government, not so long ago, it has become much more insidious, sly, underhand, and quite obviously promoting a sophisticated state propaganda.

It is thus breeding radicalisation and hatred in millions of susceptible youth, both Arab and Western.

in your opinion of course

on the other hand one would think that the murderous actions of Israel and the US play a much greater role in any radicalisation

That's it. It's all the fault of the Wesht. Nothing to do with the ridiculously biased media (Al-Jazeera is the thin edge of the wedge TBH) and the hairy psychos howling in mosques about Al-Yahud and the Kuffar.

Now that the Arab Spring phase is over, Al Jazeera (and perhaps Qatar itself) have outlived their usefulness!

There are times when America likes to rabble rouse in the Middle East - in countries it is hostile to usually - and there are times when the status quo must be maintained - the status quo is extreme authoritarianism and conservatism Saudi style, Jazeera was a little wild for the status quo.
