Israel says it has denied entry to Dublin Mayor Micheal MacDonnacha. But the mayor says he is in Ramallah.

Which is true? And also, does it not show Israel's undemocratic intolerance of dissent?

Mícheál Mac Donncha is a deranged thug

Also the office of the Dublin Lord Mayor has no business in having its own foreign policy

It sounds like Israel missed the thug before he slipped into the West Bank

Ireland's ambassador in Israel is Alison Kelly.
Corrected he's the Dublin mayor. My mistake not the article which correctly says hes the Dublin mayor.

Comes after the courageous vote by DCC by 30-8 to support the BDS campaign.

Grand on the first point.

Second point? Courageous? FFS, it's the greatest load of pointless virtue-signalling ever. Boycott Hewlett-Packard???

They can't do it. It's against Irish and EU law to do so, that's been confirmed and an intelligent poster like you shouldn't be so easily fooled by such stunts.

BDS is not against Irish or EU law imho. Many councils in Spain have joined BDS. EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini recently admitted people have a right to their opinion on BDS.

You sound unhappy:D
Unhappy?

On the contrary - this is the golden opportunity we were all waiting for - a BDSMer antisemite, entering the lice den.

There are two options - he's in, but he shouldn't get out. And even better - maybe he would like to enter Gaza. And stay there.

What was so courageous about this vote, all It was doing was following the trendy anti Israel mentality that exists in Irish politics.

It's legal for individuals to choose not to purchase goods based on whatever notion they take. But for those same individuals to bar companies from accessing public contracts? Good luck with that. You can take your h. opinion up with Dublin Council Chief Executive Owen Keegan who said he would not implement a boycott of Hewlett Packard, which he said was against State and EU law procurement law.

Ah sure, what matter 4,000 Irish jobs when some drooling lefties want to feel good about themselves?

You sound a bit agitated. I understand that you're a Zionist but unless you're Israeli you're taking the whole thing a bit seriously. In fact you seem more agitated about Israel than any of the Israeli's I've met.

What is the the Right Honourable Lord Mayor doing in Israel? Is there a pot hole to be repaired there?
Since when are Dublin's rate payers responsible for dealing with Israel's civil infrastructure deficit?

Also he is an information terrorist who used to edit An Poblacht whilst the IRA were still active, given previous inclinations he may well have links to terrorists in the West Bank, Israel possibly should target him

Time to make "Chief Executives" and "City/County Managers" elected. We don't want unelected bureaucrats overruling our elected councils. We are not a monarchy, and the constitution banned aristocracy.

today Dublin gave the Freedom of the City to two of the main players in the GFA. As Mícheál Mac Donncha goes to Palestine I hope he’ll reflect on the fact that the Good Friday Agreement was based not on boycotts but on cross-community activism and disarming of terrorists.
